POPSThe Emperor's New Clothes? It was a branch of the French intelligence services that finally helped convince the U.S. government in 2004 that the bar codes were fake after they and the CIA commissioned another company to try to detect the messages and were unable to uncover anything. But by then Montgomery was already making headway with other software claims. His company got a contract with the Air Force to handle video shot by unmanned Predator drones. He claimed his program could recognize weapons in the surveillance video. In 2004 the U.S. Special Operations Command reportedly gave his company a $30 million no-bid contract for “compression” and “automatic target recognition” technology. Montgomery even got a security clearance. But a former worker told Playboy that he had helped fake some 40 demonstrations of the software.

POPSletter chides senator barbara boxer for asking a general to address her as senator this began:many witnessed the arrogance of barbara boxer when she admonished a brigadier general because he addressed her as ma'am and not "senator" before a senate hearing. This letter is from a National Guard aviator and Captain for Alaska Airlines-as they pondered what he might have said if he'd been really angry with her............so.....ma'am that-and take yer lumps babs-

POPSSarah Palin's Lesbian Friend "And if Palin’s lesbian friend were to fall in love with a lovely Russian lesbian that she could see from Alaska—and enter into an adult personal relationship with that Russian—Sarah Palin doesn’t think her lesbian friend’s lover should be able to emigrate to the United States. But, hey, at least Sarah Palin refuses to judge her lesbian friend—and that’s something, right? It’s not equality or fairness or respect or full enfranchisement, of course, but it’s… um… something."

POPSWhat I Notice About Palin-Bashers 5. A lot of them are ready to vouch for other women in power who are relatively homely and frumpy, like Hillary Clinton. 6. They breathe hard and their pulse quickens. I haven't run into too many people who are ready to calmly explain Sarah Palin's lack of qualifications. 7. Their laughter, in response to Palin jokes, is forced. 8. Their lofty opinions of the minimal requirements for the offices Palin has sought, or might seek, is selective. When the topic of conversation shifts to Joe Biden, suddenly it seems the Vice Presidency doesn't demand a whole lot out of anyone. 9. They don't seem to think it takes a whole lot to govern Alaska, or to even live there. They don't appear to think very highly of Alaskans. 10. A lot of people claim to like her personally, just don't "feel" (see Item #4 above) that she's "right";

POPSPalin, Schwarzeneggerr Climate Dispute Heats Up Palin is right. Schwarnenegger needs to be in California fixing it's economy and handling his state's serious problems instead of hanging out in Copenhagen. Before her VP nomination, her record in Alaska was pretty good. Arnold can't say the same thing.

POPSBCBS Sabotage Health Care Reform at State Level Blue Cross Blue Shield speaks with forked tongue. Look for your state in list below: " Part of the reason the BCBS Association has claimed that it opposes the reform bill in its current form is because of what it perceives as a weak individual mandate. However, the BCBS Association-supported ALEC campaign depicts the very notion of an individual mandate as "anti-freedom." So either way the Senate acts, BCBS will be able to trash the bill and try to kill reform. According to ALEC, constitutional amendments have been filed or pre-filed in Arizona, Florida, Indiana, Michigan, Minnesota, New Mexico, North Dakota, Ohio, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, West Virginia, and Wyoming. Legislation is being discussed in 12 other states: Alabama, Alaska, Georgia, Kansas, Louisiana, Missouri, Mississippi, New Hampshire, Oklahoma, Montana, Tennessee, and Utah. A bill passed the Arizona legislature in June, and will go to a public referendum in 2010."

POPSBy Palin-haters’ logic, Obama’s a liar He lied about using public funding for his campaign. He lied about delivering a “net spending cut.” He lied about going line by line through the federal budget and eliminating programs that don’t work. And on and on it goes. So eager are some to “get” Sarah Palin that they apply a standard to her which, if applied to any one of their political allies, would make them look far worse, far, far worse than than accomplished conservative. So keep screaming about Palin. The hypocrisy is astounding. How about we have a pity party for the liberals? Who wants to come? "Waaaahhhhhh Palin flies in a jet.....wahhhhh....Palin is prettier than me.......wahhhhhh....Palin sells more books than Obama......wahhhhhh......I hate Palin more than I hate myself......wahhhhhhhh" Make me LOL

POPSPalin's Father: She Left Hawaii Because Asians Made Her Uncomfortable I don't like Sarah Palin, but I think Palin's father mixed his words up or was misquoted. This particular quote makes a whole lot of sense to me if "they" refers to Sarah Palin and white people, rather than Asians and Pacific islanders. In universities and colleges in Hawaii, white students are a minority, and they tend to be discriminated against quite often by the locals, so I can see how Sarah Palin would feel like part of the minority and be a bit intimidated. So I think Sarah Palin's father meant to say, "Sarah Palin felt like part of the minority as a result of the discriminatory nature of the locals, so she came home." Carry along... nothing noteworthy here.

POPSHope For the Beluga Whale "Additionally, the proposed Knik Arm Bridge, a billion-dollar boondoggle, will directly affect some of the whale’s most important habitat. Port expansion and a proposed giant coal mine and coal export dock would also destroy key beluga habitat."

POPSSarah Palin: Fooling None Of The People... I hope the left will take a deep breath and stop treating Palin like a diabolical force. The American character has always had a large dose of orneriness in it, and the more ornery you were, the farther west you moved. Alaska has a reputation for being an icebox for malcontents. Palin came straight from the source, and countless Americans root for her. In hard times, being the bellyacher-in-chief is a valid role. Hence the rise of Glenn Beck.
