POPSCIA Killed By al-Qaeda Double-Agent According to Western intelligence officials, the perpetrator was Humam Khalil Abu-Mulal al-Balawi, 36, an al-Qaida sympathizer from the town of Zarqa, which is also the hometown of Abu Musab al-Zarqawi, the Jordanian militant Islamist responsible for several devastating attacks in Iraq. Suicide Bombing on CIA Base in Afghanistan last week was carried out by Jordanian Doctor who was al-Qaida Double Agent http://bit.ly/7q0DCn The Jawa Report mypetjawa.mu.nu

POPSan american world of war: what to watch for in 2010 worth the read- gives a glimpse into our agenda- and shines some light on the sham notion that we are on about - trying to "help" these people.......or are trying to protect ourselves-.this was written by tom engelhardt and nick turse- they "do" have a grasp of this thing

POPSare US forces executing children in afghanistan? well- it appears they are- but we use the luxury of "dumbing" down our news stories- as in............if we do it -it must be alright..............and thus- war being war..no need to report it and look bad........... war is b.s. - we have no business being there- this thing is turning into such a meltdown- with expense that is over the top- the expense of money and conscience..........this isn't a win thing- we aren't helping these people- nor are we helping ourselves- this isn't democracy- it is a thinly veiled power play to get control of oil and dope- and pave the way for american companies to get in there and make some cash- grrrrrrrrrr- and more- but spreading democracy is hardly the goal

POPSCanada in Afghanistan When all the Moaning Minnies finish whining on about we Brits fighting the Push toons all on our own, perhaps a glimpse at my sisters' kids doing their bit. The Canadians have pledged to withdraw by 2011. Thank you, again, Canada and may your Gods keep a close eye on you and protect you.

POPSThe Despot of the North Once again, Prime Minister Harper tries to shut down the parliamentary process because he doesn't feel that he has tyrannical control over the government. Questions are being asked about the Afghani prisoner abuses and the opposition parties are blocking his heavy-handed bills in Parliament, so he's going to stack the Senate with Conservatives (a process he vocally condemned early in his despotic reign) to give him absolute control over the government. That's not the Canadian way; that's taking a page out of Bush's fascist book. If Governor General Michael Jean approves a prorogue, there is going to be a huge outcry, and hopefully, hell to pay.

POPSForget Vietnam Analogies - Remember Cambodia and Laos - now Pakistan Pakistan is beginning to look like a combination of the not-so-secret wars in Cambodia and Laos - Those pesky Viet Cong kept slipping into Laos and Cambodia to escape B-52s. Those Taliban - they just won't stay in one place. Didn't the British say the same thing about those pesky Minute Men and Green Mountain boys. Not saying the Taliban are right in any way, it's just that - we are the British to the Afghans. When Afghans unite for their own freedom against the Taliban view of the world, they will win and we can go home. The training up of Afghan army and police also seems a lot like what we did not get right in Vietnam. why? Because, we are simply empowering rule by old tribal war lords. I suspect that the Afghan people want none of the Taliban, us or the tribal war lords. Think about how to help them come to fore might help to bring peace that will last.

POPSMassive Anti-War Protest*** March 10, 2010*** Plan to attend or organize your own in solidarity. Individual protests are fine, but when we come together and walk our talk, we force authority to pay attention. If we maintain our focus and momentum, together we can bring OUR government to heel Will there be threats and resistance and backlash from the Military-Industrial Complex Machine? You betcherass there will. So. Be prepared. Make sure your friends and relatives support and watch out for you in case of arrest. People cannot be disappeared when they have support from their community. Are you willing, but don't have the bucks? Get your friends and neighbors to chip in and send you as their representative. Solidarity, remember? Maybe your community can send a group to represent them, as an investment in taking back our voice in the government. It's time, people!

POPSFight On! Leaves Him No Choice But To Win in Afghanistan Well, for starters because it’s considered Dem accompli … not least by the GOP. There’s an element of cold harsh reality in that. This is an electorate that remained largely asleep and disinterested when lawmakers, taking their cue from the 70-30 vote against a ballot measure to phase out the income tax, raised taxes. I would have thought the GOP would be more interested in kicking off the 2010 election season with a good showing, if not a win, in bluest Mass. Those are sheep guts that all the soothsayers would want a look at.

POPSUS Afghan Surge is Really 86,000? During the Iraq and Afghan wars, there were no reports of casualties of contractors added to US Troop casualties and it was a long time before anyone knew what Blackwater, now Xe, was up to until they shot 17 Iraqi's last year. On top of all the other transparency problems, I don't fell very good about US soldiers having to depend on "mercenaries" for safety, transport, food, etc. How about you?
