POPSWatch out for the trolls, but don't take your eye off of the road Trollstigen is closed during the fall and winter months. A normal opening season stretches from the middle of May to October, but may sometimes be shorter or longer due to changes in the weather conditions, or unexpected trolls of course. In the summer of 2005 the road was repaired and about 16 million NOK was spent on protection against rockfall, making the road a lot safer to drive on....that is unless you aren't watching closely......for the trolls.....bwahahahahahaha......

The centerpiece is a fold-out photograph of one of the park's giants, the Iluvatar Tree, the world's third-largest coast redwood at 20 1/2 feet in diameter and 320 feet tall… Of the trails that provide access to old-growth in California, the James Irvine Loop is one of the best. This loop is a 7.5-mile round trip that provides a route past a succession of giants. It's easy enough that most anybody can simply walk a half mile and back to get a feel for an ancient forest. It's long enough that the entire loop delivers a sense of discovery and awe with each grove, and the good, clean feeling that comes with hiking a few hours in a pristine landscape. This trip can change how you feel about things for a long time. Big trees can do that.

Kennedy believes that, given the current state of affairs, and in the interest of peace, it would be prudent and timely to undertake the following steps to counter the militaristic politics of Reagan and his campaign to psychologically burden the American people. In this regard, he offers the following proposals to the General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of the Soviet Union Y.V. Andropov: 1. Kennedy asks Y.V. Andropov to consider inviting the senator to Moscow for a personal meeting in July of this year. The main purpose of the meeting, according to the senator, would be to arm Soviet officials with explanations regarding problems of nuclear disarmament so they may be better prepared and more convincing during appearances in the USA. On May 21, 1930, a march led by two Indian women,Sarojini Naidu and Maulana Abul Kalam Azad, was attacked by police. The marchers continued to walk forward even as those at the front of the line were beaten to a bloody pulp. 320 were injured.
