Culture of Terror: the Collapse of America ~ I
davboz
by davboz   8-27-2009    3
This great betrayal has taken our “progressive” culture, with “the giant” of applied science lurking over everyone’s sense of the possible and turned it to fatalism. These betrayals have led to “multiculturalism” and the balkanization both of nations, and families, the better to centralize power and to scramble all states into a World “Commonwealth” where power, control and resources are monopolized by an oligarchy; those closer to the labyrinth’s center having greater amounts of all material and social perks and greater immunity from “law.” The dogma of “relativism,” gussied up as “situational ethics” means in effect that the law is the will of those with most power and that reason is an instrument of will and thus of appetites; that the rationales of this new State are thus insane, acts of wanton atrocity, to quote Melville in the epigraph. This deification of the will is a radical subversion of the principles of law, justice and righteousness, as well as charity rooted in Scri

Who are the REAL Christians around here?
righthand
by righthand  12-24-2007    17
"We are living in the 21st century after all. Who would use the name of the Christian God to justify mass killing? A majority of modern day American Christians, that's who. Perhaps the argument used against Muslims should be applied to Christians instead. Their religion has been hijacked by fundamentalist fanatics while the non-fanatics remain silent. The term clash of civilizations is definitely a misnomer. There can be no clash unless both sides are in fact civilized. Any assertion of American civilization is clearly open to question." ... "Clash of civilizations" - a misnomer
Rasmus
by Rasmus  12-24-2007    4
Christians perpetrated the crusades, the inquisition, the slave trade and imperial adventures too numerous to mention. It may be comforting to pat ourselves on the back and consign those behaviors to past centuries. We are living in the 21st century after all. Any assertion of American civilization is clearly open to question. (L.c.)

The link to the letter is pretty good stuff. I always thought it was odd that christians would be against doing anything about "global climate change" (true or not). I thought it had something to do with Revelations and that they see global warming as a precursor to the return of little baby jesus. But now we see that the real reason is it will divert resources away from the inquisition of homosexuals.
