POPSPOLICE FORCE SUED BY OFFICERS WHO CLAIM THAT 'RADIOS' ARE MAKING THEM ILL "Lancashire was the first force to pilot the new Airwave technology and TETRA radios in 2001. At the time, the federation’s local branch reported 176 users had gone sick. The Health and Safety Executive was called in but declared there was no link. The Government spent £2.9billion introducing the system to the 53 forces in England, Scotland and Wales." What is not metioned in the report, but is highlighted within the comments, is that these radios cause cancer. Don't suffer in silence, speak out, as is your right.

POPSWhere's your "COMFORT ZONE"????? In both incidents, the failure of the bombings was not due to security measures at the originating European airports. The bombs were not picked up by metal detectors at Charles de Gaulle in Paris in 2001, or at Schiphol, Amsterdam in 2009, and the men carrying them evidently had no difficulty getting onto their flights.

POPSMailman in Charge of Dispensing “Medical Countermeasures” to Biological Weapons; 0bama Executive Ord The spores killed five people: Two Washington, D.C., postal workers, a New York City hospital worker, a Florida photo editor and a 94-year-old Connecticut woman who had no known contact with any of the poisoned letters. Seventeen other people were sickened. Obama says his decision to give the Postal Service a role in responding to a widespread biological attack won't supersede the authorities of other agencies. POPS Let's Roll 2 by Mark Steyn If the facts remain broadly as outlined, this incident has serious implications for airline travel: A man is on the no-fly list but is allowed to board the plane. Everyone flying on an inbound long-haul flight to the United States is forced to hand over excessively large amounts of liquids and gels and put the small amounts permitted into separate plastic bags, yet the no-fly guy's material for bomb-making sails through undetected. This time the last line of defense worked. Next time, the paradise-seeking jihadist might get lucky and find himself sitting next to, say, Charlie Sheen, too immersed in a lengthy treatise on how 9/11 was an inside job to notice the smoldering socks in the next seat; or to the same kind of nothing-to-see-here crowd who thought Major Hasan's e-mails were "consistent with his research interests". POPSAncestral Whales May Have Given Birth on Land "This intermediate species may have spent most of its time in the water, coming onto land to rest, mate, and give birth. A second, even more complete Maiacetus fossil was found nearby; it appears to be a male, slightly larger."

POPSSacramento-area farmers grow heirloom wheat
More: Sonora wheat was once one of the most popular wheat varieties grown in one of the biggest wheat states in America—California. In fact, Sonora wheat from California was considered of such high quality that most of it was exported to England. The change to hammermill processing, and the corresponding change to wheat types that grow well in Midwestern conditions, were a factor in the demise of California wheat farming. Midwestern wheat is generally higher in phytates, which are bitter to the taste, which was an issue for Fox. “I hated whole wheat. It was bitter and awful, and I really preferred spelt. But I went crazy for this wheat,” she says. Fox promptly began growing Sonora wheat for seed, and just eight years later, she estimates that there are at least 15 farmers in the greater Sacramento area growing this variety, including Full Belly Farm, which offers flour from Sonora wheat at farmers’ markets and through their community-supported agriculture boxes.

POPSReport: Bin Laden Daughter Escapes Captors "They are all just innocent victims, just the same as anyone else hurt by the dreadful events of 9/11 and 7/7. These babies and children have never had any education, never hurt a single soul, never trained with any weapons or ever been part of al-Qaeda," bin Laden told the paper. "We just want to be together as a family."............. Osama was a millionaire and his kids are uneducated...yet he educates young, dumb muslims to be martyrs for HIS Jihad

POPSVote at the General Assembly; Resolution Condemning “Defamation of Religion"
of a radical Islamist ideology.” The text “recognizes that, in the context of the fight against terrorism, defamation of religions and incitement to religious hatred in general become aggravating factors that contribute to the denial of fundamental rights and freedoms of members of target groups,” and expresses “deep concern” that “Islam is frequently and wrongly associated with human rights violations and terrorism.” “Today’s resolution comes at the same time as an Algerian-chaired UN committee in Geneva is seeking to amend the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights, by adopting a protocol that would conflate the existing post-war prohibitions on racism with the Islamist agenda of silencing religious dissent,” said Neuer. “A full measure of the perils of today’s resolution must account not only for intimidation of Western writers and cartoonists, but the growing international legitimization of medieval anti-blasphemy laws"in countries like Pakistan, Egypt

POPSNew York’s Largest Mosque to Be Built Next To –- Ground Zero The building has no sign that hints at its use as a Muslim prayer space, but these modest beginnings point to a far grander vision: an Islamic center near the city’s most hallowed piece of land that would stand as one of ground zero’s more unexpected and striking neighbors. Unreal. Lest We Forget I’m a history buff. There’s a constant struggle at our house over the remote control and whether we watch what my wife and kids want, or the Discovery, TLC, or the History Channel. I won’t go into who usually wins (ask Pam), but suffice it to say we’ve added several televisions in the house. My mom instilled in me my fascination with history long ago. I think it was her way of passing onto a son, growing up ten thousand miles away from his country and family, his heritage. Around the dinner table in the Philippines her stories of my grandparents and life on the farm during the Depression and World War 2 .....
