POPSObama Can't Turn the Page on Bush The former vice president’s uncharacteristically stumbling and qualified answer — “I certainly, yeah, have every reason to believe he knew...” — suggests that the Bush White House’s once-united front is starting to crack under pressure.

POPSFort Hood 'ticking timebomb' shooter Major Abu Nidal remains in under armed guard and in a coma amid the FBI probe into the killing of 13 and the wounding of 31 at the US army base. On Sunday an ashen-faced and paranoid-looking ex-President Bush toured the camp, muttering incoherently and barking orders as if he was still in charge. General Colon Bowel is on a phishing trip somewhere near the Azores.

POPSAnime Japan’s Manga Hentai Wonder Festival Wonder Festival was first held in 1985. Japanese animation was still very much a niche interest even in its home country, and the major kit manufacturers were only interested in major TV franchises. It seems, even organizers do not foreknow, who and how many figures will decide to parade. Heroines numerous anime, video games, comics, manga, hentai with own hand created characters. Practically any figure has an erotic hentai orientation.

POPS Twelve Killed in Ft. Hood Rampage The facility, called a Soldier Rating and Processing center, handles administrative details for soldiers. Banks says two shooters were apparently involved. There was no immediate word on who they were, nor on identities of the dead. Banks says the second incident took place at a theater on the sprawling base. Another Army official identified that site as the Howze Theater. That official, who requested anonymity to discuss an evolving incident, said a graduation had been scheduled for 2 p.m. at the theater. President Obama called the shootings a “horrific outburst of violence” and said his “prayers are with the wounded and the families of the fallen.” With Associated Press reports.

POPSSlasher Politics Per Jigsaw’s instructions, turncoat Detective Hoffman (Costas Mandylor) shepherds the insurance company nitwits to their demise. No reason why the ”Saw” franchise shouldn’t jump on the pop-culture Obama cheerleading train like everyone else in La-la with a little B-flick health-care advocacy. And with the loan officer thing, there’s something for everyone! One thing slasher fans may want to bear in mind, though. When your gaping, bloody saw wounds need to be stitched and stapled up, do you really want to wait in line for the lowest bidder? Boston Herald’s Tenley Woodman gives Saw VI a “D.” No, not for the feel-good politics embedded in the middle of a feel-bad extravaganza. … it is the depraved acts and gore that make these films objectionable. Hate to quibble, but I think that’s what makes them marketable.

POPSReady to Revolt: Oath Keepers pledge to prevent dictatorship in U.S.
They are armed and promise to keep the oath they took to protect the Constitution. Founder Stece Rhoades: "We say if the American people decide it's time for a revolution, we'll fight with you." That type of rhetoric has caught the attention of groups that track extremist activity in the United States. In a July report titled "Return of the Militias," the Alabama-based Southern Poverty Law Center singled out Oath Keepers as "a particularly worrisome example of the Patriot revival." SPLC now monitors Oath Keepers on its Web site blog "Hatewatch." Oath Keepers is not preaching violence or government overthrow, Rhodes said. On the contrary, it is asking police and the military to lay down their arms in response to unlawful orders. Group supporters compare President Obama's America to Adolf Hitler's Germany. They also liken Obama to England's King George III during the American Revolution. One member calls Obama "the domestic enemy the Constitution is talking about."

POPSAyers Likely Ghost Wrote Obama's Memoir - Part III Ayers stated firmly, “I wrote it.” ... Was he, as she had asked, pulling our collective legs? Other sources report rumors that Ayers is very upset both about not getting any credit for helping Obama on ‘Dreams,’ and may also be put off by being summarily thrown under the bus along with Rev. Wright and everyone else who becomes an inconvenience to this President. (HT: Ace) Previously: Ayers Likely Ghost Wrote Obama's Memoir - Part II Ayers Likely Ghost Wrote Obama's Memoir

POPSRon Clark Academy Obamacare Rap on CNN (Propaganda Video) The kids from Ron Clark Academy were featured on CNN singing a definitely pro Obamacare song . CNN made no qualms about not only letting the kids rap in favor of healthcare reform, but they also displayed the lyrics loud and clear for all to see. The left in this country has a clear and sometimes not so clear agenda, but an agenda none the less. It’s simply reprehensible that the left would stoop to the level of using school children to push that agenda. The Ron Clark Academy video on CNN proves that without a doubt. POPS The Object at Hand: His Majesty King Mongkut of Siam
It was there that royal emissaries found him one steamy April morning in 1851, when they brought the news that his half brother, King Rama III, was dead. Within days, the 47-year-old monk stepped from monastic life into the rich temptations and intricacies of the palace, with its inner city thronging with hundreds of women, its precincts patrolled by female guards and its life revolving entirely around his royal person. The holy man was now officially the "Lord of Life," the fourth ruler in Siam's Chakri dynasty, able to exert life-or-death control over some 5.5 million subjects. (As king, he banned the death penalty for monks who broke their vows of celibacy, putting them to work, instead, cutting grass for the royal elephants.) A spectacular coronation inaugurated the reign with great pomp. Brahmin priests sounded ceremonial conch shells. The new monarch, clad in golden robes, was carried off in a gilded palanquin. Even in that moment of glory, though,

POPSSummits of Folly But the problem with this euphemistic approach to disarmament, as Lippmann noticed, is that it shifts the onus from the countries that can't be trusted with nuclear weapons to those that can. Is Nicolas Sarkozy, with his force de frappe, about to start World War III? Probably not, though he has the means to do so. Should Mr. Obama join hands with Iran and the Arab world in pushing for Israel's nuclear disarmament, on the view that if only the Jewish state would set the right example its enemies would no longer want to wipe it off the map? If that's what the president believes, he should say so publicly, especially since he's offering the same general prescription for America's nuclear deterrent. Of course what the administration wants is to set the right mood music for its upcoming talks with Iran. Mr. Obama would be better served having a chat with Moammar Gadhafi, who will be seated just a few chairs away at the Security Council: . . .
