 UPDATES: A plant that may be even older is being studied by scientists in the Mojave Desert. It is thought that some creosote bushes there may actually be as old as 7,000 years! But we now know of an even older living thing. Recently scientists in Sweden have discovered a 9,550 year old spruce tree in the mountainous Dalarna province of that country. A few other spruce trees in the region have ages that are almost as old.
