| What did we learn this week on clipmarks.com?
Last Thursday's bright idea: Build huge satellites in orbit to gather sunlight, convert it to electricity, and beam the energy to Earth using microwaves. How can other energy sources compete with that?
Perhaps we can learn to control energy like our aquatic friends. Think you can hold your breath for a long time? On Friday we met a goldfish relative who can hold its breath for months.
Saturday we read about a suspicious-smelling FedEx package sent to an elementary school in New York. The principal called in the bomb squad, they X-rayed the packaged and found 12 pounds of marijuana.
Last week it was deep fried testicles. On Sunday, the Gross Food Title was handed over to the Chilean artist who mixed fat removed from his body by liposuction with ground beef to make meatballs.
"They go wild when they see me coming because they know they're going to have some fun" was Monday's quote of the day. Who said it? A clown hired by a German zoo to cheer up its bored monkeys.
Getting a brain boost may be easier than we thought. Yesterday we learned that walking sedately for half an hour three times a week can boost your learning, concentration and abstract reasoning by 15 per cent.
And Today, Wednesday May 23, for the first time in human history, the earth's population is more urban than rural.
