POPSLet us end the death penalty I am really of the mind that a strong percentage of Conservatives and Libertarians oppose the death penalty. I would like to see a strong and vocal movement from the Right to end the death penalty. The problem is that many on the Left also support the death penalty. It is one of the most politically homogonous issue we have. I believe supporting a culture of life means supporting life for ALL the living. Is ending a life really punishment? Come on, people.

POPSNational Sanctity of Human Life Day, 2009 I signed legislation in 2003 to ban the cruel practice of partial-birth abortion, and that law represents our commitment to building a culture of life in America. Also, I was proud to sign the Unborn Victims of Violence Act of 2004, which allows authorities to charge a person who causes death or injury to a child in the womb with a separate offense in addition to any charges relating to the mother. The sanctity of life is written in the hearts of all men and women. On this day and throughout the year, we aspire to build a society in which every child is welcome in life and protected in law. We also encourage more of our fellow Americans to join our just and noble cause. History tells us that with a cause rooted in our deepest principles and appealing to the best instincts of our citizens, we will prevail.

POPSSocial Science is not Science "Their desire to hold on to that illusion causes them to resist many sorts of new information which conflict with their ideas. That is very human, but it ain't science. Indeed, what goes on in the social sciences would make for a fascinating sociological study." I have long held the view that social sciences are profound bullhockey, if I may use a technical term. If you research the foundations of these "disciplines" you will find that they are all based in a materialist foundation and seek to confirm that foundation through the masterful manipulation of descriptive and inferential statistics. It is time we recognize that sociology and much of the psycho-pop babble we are subjected to is nothing more than materialist propaganda.

POPSThe Long March "much of the wacky, upside-down, right-is-wrong, black-is-white stuff we see in the news these days is directly or indirectly inspired by Gramsci: the attacks on Christianity, the family, individual freedom, morality and moral judgements; multiculturalism; the cult of victimhood, "tolerance," political correctness, the replacement of the roles of family, religion, individual responsibility and choice with government rules, laws, and regs; the expansion of the State and the Welfare State and the Nanny State; anti-tradition, anti-capitalism, anti-success, anti-nationalism, anti-Americanism and anti-Westernism, etc - all the stuff that makes me echo Bob Grant with "It's sick out there, and getting sicker." I am sure Antonio never anticipated that a Green movement would emerge to become an ally of the slow, incrementalist and thus less-alarming Gramscian revolution."

POPSRationalization drives the culture war "According to Dr. Jack Kevorkian, for example, all those reluctant to participate in his rationalization for killing people (including, it turns out, some who are not even ill) are the real problem; the judicial system is "corrupt," the medical profession is "insane," and the press is "meretricious." Of the coroner who found nothing medically wrong with several of his victims, Dr. Kevorkian said that he is a "liar and a fanatical religious nut."

POPS16 year old isolates plastic-eating bacteria ! After three months of upping the concentration of plastic-eating microbes, Burd filtered out the remaining plastic powder and put his bacterial culture into three flasks with strips of plastic cut from grocery bags. As a control, he also added plastic to flasks containing boiled and therefore dead bacterial culture. Six weeks later, he weighed the strips of plastic. The control strips were the same. But the ones that had been in the live bacterial culture weighed an average of 17 per cent less.

POPSLetting go of our defenses Excerpt:s: “Lenin was surely right. There is no subtler, no surer means of overturning society than to debauch the currency. The process engages all the hidden forces of economic law on the side of destruction, and does it in a manner which not one man in a million is able to diagnose.” "Inflation in the United States means a weaker dollar, and a weaker dollar means a weakened United States. It also means more tanks and jet fighters and missiles for Moscow and Beijing. As America sinks in self-absorption, Russia and China look outward. The suffering of the Russian and Chinese people is centuries old. They are adapted to suffering, but America has adapted itself to hedonistic expectations. In an attempt to cling to prosperity, America is ready to let go of its defenses."

POPSI'm afraid I agree with Pat Buchanan We are entering the age of corporate totalitarianism. American companies are now global companies and American sovereignty is secondary to the wishes of the global capitalist. I'm as big a capitalist as anyone, but tyranny can come from any faction. The mainstream of America is being ripped by forces at both ends - Cultural Marxists on one end and corporate totalitarianism on the other.

POPSThe reason behind the Left's obsession with sex education "Hungary's youth, having been fed a steady diet of values-neutral (atheism) and radical sex education while simultaneously encouraged to rebel against all authority, easily turned into delinquents ranging from bullies and petty thieves to sex predators, murderers, and sociopaths."

POPSThe reason behind todays's political division. "The new battleground, reasoned Gramsci, must become the culture, starting with the traditional family and completely engulfing churches, schools, media, entertainment, civic organizations, literature, science, and history. All of these things must be radically transformed and the social and cultural order gradually turned upside-down with the new proletariat placed in power at the top." Learn your history people. It is not about politics. It is about cultural and institutional destruction.

POPSEducation is not the answer to every problem? "The two greatest evils of the 20th century -- fascism and communism -- were often headed by well-educated individuals. And communism was supported in the West almost exclusively by intellectuals. You almost had to be an intellectual in order to support the mass murderers Lenin, Stalin and Mao."
