The American People are the Problem
willhelm
by willhelm  5-7-2008
There is no doubt that when a first term senator, without a credible achievement, who proved himself incompetent at the mere act of casting a vote as a State Senator, who is the most Leftist member of the Senate and all of Congress, who talks about sacrifice while giving 1% of his windfall salary to charity, who will not talk about his record, agenda, or be "distracted" by questions of his intended policies, who has befriended a terrorist and racist preacher, who has a wife that says there is a "veil of impossibility" in America ( She went to Yale, remember), who is an adherent of Black Lib (marxist) Theology, who never worked in Business or Industry, never managed a company, and never served his country. A man who whips his naive supporters up using tactics, imagery, and organic unity not seen since the early 1930's. The American People are in fact the problem when this is the man that one of the major parties in the US seems to believe is fit to be President of the U.S.

Public Ignorance and Democracy
willhelm
by willhelm  4-24-2008    2
Such as the nature of liberalism, conservatism, materialism, idealism, etc. "Public ignorance is not confined to political information. Sixty-nine percent of the public believe, according to a recent survey, that price increases are mainly caused by companies manipulating the market to raise their profits. Less provocative, but just as indicative of ignorance of economic affairs, only about a third of all Americans know that the Fed sets monetary policy, or even that the consumer price index measures price inflation. It is little wonder, then, that incumbent politicians are able to take credit for good economic times—regardless of the success, failure, or irrelevance of their economic policies—and that presidents cursed with bad economies usually are booted from office, even if their policies have been sound."

The cycle of indoctrinating hate
willhelm
by willhelm  4-11-2008
"I wonder if it's ever occurred to Obama and Wright that it probably doesn't help young people in the black community when they're told that their country hates them, that the U.S. government gave them drugs and AIDS, and that jail and genocide are the officially-sanctioned plan for them." "The government gives them drugs, builds bigger prisons, passes a three-strike law and then wants us to sing 'God Bless America,'" shouted Wright at his congregation. "No, no, no. God damn America. That's in the Bible, for killing innocent people. God damn America for treating our citizens as less than human. God damn America for as long as she acts like she is God and she is supreme." "I wonder if Obama ever considered the negative impact on young blacks from listening to these hateful and anti-white tirades. It's not as if Obama is blind to the influence of hate speech. When Don Imus made one careless remark about black female athletes, Obama was among the first to call for his firing."

Letting go of our defenses
willhelm
by willhelm  2-9-2008    3
Excerpt:s: “Lenin was surely right. There is no subtler, no surer means of overturning society than to debauch the currency. The process engages all the hidden forces of economic law on the side of destruction, and does it in a manner which not one man in a million is able to diagnose.” "Inflation in the United States means a weaker dollar, and a weaker dollar means a weakened United States. It also means more tanks and jet fighters and missiles for Moscow and Beijing. As America sinks in self-absorption, Russia and China look outward. The suffering of the Russian and Chinese people is centuries old. They are adapted to suffering, but America has adapted itself to hedonistic expectations. In an attempt to cling to prosperity, America is ready to let go of its defenses."

Liberals Co-opted

Liberals are not really Liberal anymore and Conservatives are not really Conservative ! Additional excerpt: "In a modified version of the Stoic conception of the earth as a living organism possessed of its own soul, neo-pantheist dialectical materialism declares that earth is “one entire organism…its organs the various races and nations of men.” Not only is the earth alive and evolving upward on evolution’s magical escalator, but so too are history and society, for they also are living entities in a continuous state of motion. And man? In a modified conception of Atomism’s extremely dehumanizing view of man, dialectical materialism states that man is nothing but “a colonial aggregation of cells,” and to “consider him an individual would be an error.” Man---the aggregate of cells--- is nothing but an extension of society, history, and earth. Economic Warning: Progressivism has brought us to the brink

We are in deep you know what! Wake up people and SAVE YOUR FREAKIN" MONEY. I suggest buying Euros. We need to regroup, America. We have been destroyed enough by these idiots in Washington and the useful idiots that carry the banner for the Republicans and Democrats. A vast majority of this country is Conservative or Libertarian and we have no party. We only have the Constitution and that is being ripped apart by International treaties on which the people have no recourse. From Article: "I would argue that the most serious threat to the United States is not someone hiding in a cave in Afghanistan or Pakistan but our own fiscal irresponsibility," Walker tells Kroft. "He calls it a fiscal wake up tour, and he is telling civic groups, university forums and newspaper editorial boards that the U.S. has spent, promised, and borrowed itself into such a deep hole it will be unable to climb out if it doesn’t act now. As Walker sees it, the survival of the republic is at stake."

Mommy Fascism ( or Statism, if you like )
willhelm
by willhelm  1-31-2008
"When we get to today's liberal fascism Jonah (Goldberg) describes what I would like to call mommy fascism. The fascism of the 1930s was a daddy fascism featuring a militarized command economy and smart CCC uniforms with everyone marching in step. Mommy fascism is different and Jonah takes the reader through Hillary Clinton's It Takes a Village to show how it works." "If Orwell's 1984 described a masculine dystopia then Clinton's Village echoes the feminine dystopia of Brave New World "where man is smothered with care, not cruelty" from the very cradle. "

"Creeping Totalitarianism"- How free are we?
willhelm
by willhelm  12-13-2007    1
From Article: "Yet we long ago transitioned from making just laws to just making laws, which is why I look forward with a sense of foreboding. Every year our nation enacts more and more laws but hardly ever rescinds any, which means every year we become progressively less free. I call this “creeping totalitarianism.” "Currently it’s fashionable to bemoan the Patriot Act and wax apoplectic about how the sky is falling, as if it’s 1789 and we’re confronted with our very first extra-constitutional measure. Oh, I’m not saying good people shouldn’t debate these matters; no one stresses strict adherence to the Constitution more than I do. But the danger is that when we stare intently at and stand too close to one piece of the puzzle, it appears bigger and seems like the whole world. And if we fail to take a step back and gain perspective, we won’t see that there is a big picture, one formed by countless prohibitionary pieces." The truth is that unconstitutional and excessive la

The subversive forces for "equality"

What billed itself as a feminist promotion of the emancipation of women was in reality a public relations ploy to open a new market for tobacco by getting women addicted to cigarettes."

White people, as well as black people, were still being bought and sold as slaves, decades after the Emancipation Proclamation freed blacks in the United States. Those who want to 'give back' should give back the truth. It is a debt that is long overdue."

Alexis de Tocqueville - Impressions of God in America
willhelm
by willhelm  10-12-2007    3
I do not know whether all Americans have a sincere faith in their religion -- for who can search the human heart? But I am certain that they hold it to be indispensable to the maintenance of republican institutions. This opinion is not peculiar to a class of citizens or a party, but it belongs to the whole nation and to every rank of society. In the United States, the sovereign authority is religious...there is no country in the world where the Christian religion retains a greater influence over the souls of men than in America, and there can be no greater proof of its utility and of its conformity to human nature than that its influence is powerfully felt over the most enlightened and free nation of the earth.

Patrick Henry - “It cannot be emphasized too clearly and too often that this nation was founded, not by religionists, but by Christians; not on religion, but on the gospel of Jesus Christ. For this very reason, peoples of other faiths have been afforded asylum, prosperity, and freedom of worship here.” “ Providence has given to our people the choice of their rulers, and it is the duty, as well as the privilege and interest of our Christian nation to select and prefer Christians for their rulers.” Source: October 12, 1816. The Correspondence and Public Papers of John Jay Thomas Jefferson - "I am a real Christian, that is to say, a disciple of the doctrines of Jesus." “God who gave us life gave us liberty." - Thomas Jefferson “ It is impossible to rightly govern the world without God and Bible.” - George Washington "Christianity is part of the common law" - James Wilson
