POPSHindraf trio, 10 others freed from ISA Damage control after the Ipoh affair? Regardless, this is indeed good news. FYI - the ISA (Internal Security Act) allows for detention without trial for up to 2 years, with renewable 2-year detention orders, indefinitely. It has been a continuing blot on Malaysia's human rights record.

POPSCourt orders Raja Petra's release Has Justice finally come (back) to Malaysia? This is definitely great news, regardless. Let's hope Raja Petra's defense lawyers also make sure that he's not re-arrested upon leaving the court, something which the Malaysian Police have done in the past, a blatantly contemptuous action.

POPSMalaysiakini: Law minister threatens to quit over ISA I've always held Zaid Ibrahim in high regard as a politician. He's in fact a total misfit in contrast to the rest of UMNO. He is definitely a person of high integrity. And he really should just quit if the Government refuses to release Teresa Kok and Raja Petra Kamaruddin.
