POPSAutumn Beauty There are many fine photographers on the net. One who always catches the heart as well as the eye is Bren of BG Gardens. It must be her sunny and vivacious personality that informs her eye, because her pictures have that spark of joy and curiousity that I enjoy whenever I visit her blog.

POPSTwo Things Two good things to think about today: one is remembering daily kindness for those we live with... and the other is to enjoy loafing time :)

POPSThought Fodder I looked at this and felt it held a truth. Our technology has outstripped our ability to keep up let alone keep ahead. But buried inside are the lasting shifts. What are those and how are they established? Those are the questions I would pursue.

POPSPretty Pumpkins Such a pretty idea for using one of those white pumpkins. I wonder if you could dry and keep the pumpkin shell?

POPSMy Favorite Painting Beautiful on many levels, the color palette has become one of my favorite, too. like a house on the beach, or Monet's kitchen, lapis blue and ochre yellow.

POPSModern Miss Jekyll Gertrude Jekyll and Margery Fish were known to surreptitiously drop their fav seeds in garden that "needed" them. This is the hyper version of that!

POPSSidewalk Strip Landscape JCharlier of Art of Gardening.org spotted this exceptionally nice strip between the curb and the sidewalk. I like the way the rocks are used to give sturdiness and guard against too much thoughtless foot traffic. the main thing about keeping this nice is to make sure weeds don't get a foot hold. Keeping it well planted this way helps prevent that.
