POPS405 I'm not sure what reminded me of this today, but I hadn't seen it in ages and had forgotten just how well done it was. 405 was one of the webs first truly popular "viral" videos, and was released in 2001. It was done by a couple of self-taught special-effects artists on their home systems in their spare time over a period of about 3.5 months with readily available (though not exactly cheap) software. Just as a reminder of how long ago that was in computer terms, here's the computer equipment they used to make it (courtesy of <a href=http://www.405themovie.com/faq.asp>405themovie.com</a>: The film was created using PC's running Windows NT.
