POPSGet Your Morning Laugh Here The Young Turks is a show that can really give you a few chuckles. The host Cenk Uygur, is a funny guy. He sure called the shots on McCain describing him as a mumbling, grumbling, bumbling old man. Thanks Cenk, I needed that pick-me-up. Sorry McCain, if the shoe fits... Wear It! ;-) ---- (If the shoe fits, wear it) If something belongs or pertains to you, accept it. This proverb first appeared as “if the cap fits,” which may have referred to a fool’s cap. The later version has become more common and is associated with the glass slipper in the fairy tale, “Cinderella.”

POPSThe Prosecution Of George W Bush for Murder
When I first saw Vincent Bugliosi, talk about his book "The Prosecution Of George W Bush for Murder", I was blown away. I thought, he's not just another crackpot trying to sell a crackpot book, he is serious. Bush lied us into an illegal war and thus far, nothing, but words has happened to him and his crew. Is this reality? A reality that allows Bush to go scot-free for so many crimes. With no one not one group to point a finger and demand he pay for his misdeeds. Without a doubt, Bush, appears to be one who IS above the law. Not only is he above the law, he gets help to get away with his transgression. (namely: the FISA vote).... We are, most of us anyway, holding our breaths to see this sad excuse for a man leave the highest office, once and for all. But is that enough? I hope Bugliosi, one of the greatest prosecutors of our time, will not rest until he sees justice served upon George W. Bush. Also watch, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HlISseXFjng

POPSIs The Thrill Gone For Obama Supporters?
Obama Fades? I can't speak for anyone else but for me his glow has dimmed, since he started wearing that flag lapel pin. While living through years of the worst president the US has had at the helm, I could identify the enemy or the Bush supporters by their Bush/Neocon fraternity pins. And I could direct my anger even before the Bushy sycophants opened their bombastic collective rhetorical pie-holes and blather the some ole, same ole. So the flag label pin had become a symbol of pretentious superciliousness to me. Of course, with Obama pandering to the "R's" and the "I's" who voted for Dubya and helped ruin our country and make us a laughing stock all over the world (Remember the headline from the UK’s Daily Mirror: How Can 1,230,065 People Be So Dumb?) may have a little to do with the Obama Fade From Grace. But that PIN is all I see when this eloquent orator takes center stage and its glare has a blinding effect on the reflection of the man behind that "R" studded brooch. :-(

POPSLimbaugh tops his own bigotry with this one. It's hard to believe what can come out of the mouth (butt) of Rush Limbaugh but his latest tirade is beyond belief, beyond disgusting, beyond loathsome. Yes it's very hard to believe this mindless little man could stoop so low as to praise the flood victims in Iowa, Illinois who happen to be mostly white and at the same time, condemn the Katrina victims with the same old rhetoric, innuendos and outright bigotry that the KKK type people carry in their bags of hateful garbage. Those poor hurrican victims, who happen to be mostly of color are responsible in the intolerant brain cells of Rush, for their fate. I know beyond the pale, is too weak a phrase for this criticism from a genuine butt-hole. The only bewilderment I feel of such a creep sputtering into a microphone that goes out over the airwaves is, WHY THE HELL WOULD ANYONE LISTEN TO HIS SHIT AND STILL THINK OF HIM AS A CREDIBLE BEARER OF THE TRUTH? :-? http://thinkingblue.blogspot.com

POPSA truth article about this election - BITTER POLITICS A truth article about politics... But it wasn't just the media. In a recent Sunday talk-show appearance, McCain was eager to delve--unprompted--into yet another discussion about Bill Ayers, while Clinton invoked her affinity for her small-town brethren by recounting her girlhood shooting lessons. In other words, multimillionaire McCain, the millionaire pundit class and the millionaire Clintons all spent the last weeks waging a culture war against a man who spent most of his career organizing in or representing the South Side of Chicago. It was enough to make one cling to religion. What was so dispiriting about this spectacle wasn't its nastiness. Politics in a democracy will always be rancorous; it's the nonviolent means we've established to referee conflicting interests. No, it was the sheer staleness: the run-up to Pennsylvania was dominated by the umpteenth iteration of a clash of fabricated caricatures. More below:

POPSRace doesn't matter - YES WE CAN! This title says it all. This is the most exciting time politically that I have seen in my umpteen years of voting. The long infinite stretch of dirty politics or politics as usual is ending. At least we can all hope it is. I just finished another youtube project of talking heads who try to lead us down a path of gloom, a path of NOT IN OUR INTEREST. If you care to view it you can find it here. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mL4HwogMIOU

POPSWhy No One Should Listen To Rush Limbaugh
Limbaugh Crosses the Line by Roy Perdue Though it has been years since I degraded my intelligence as to listen to the Rush Limbaugh show, it was brought to my attention last night that Limbaugh finally crossed the line. Apparently Rush was on another of his rants about how great Abraham Lincoln was, and how wrong the South was in the conflict commonly called the American Civil War. I listened to Limbaugh a great deal in the late 90s and up until about 2002. I finally became fed up with his attitude that every thing that Bush and the GOP do is holy. Limbaugh that those that expose the corruption in the GOP are liberals and working for the Democrats. As John Stossel would say, "Give me a break!" Limbaugh has also stated many times that he would like to see America be taken over by a "conservative" dictatorship, even going so far as to say that he could straighten out the country within two years if he were named the dictator! POPSTHE SEPTEMBER TAP DANCE ON IRAQ: September 10th 2007 - Rep. Wexler comments on Gen. Petraeus testimony... "eerily similar to Westmoreland and Vietnam..." Rep. Ackerman asks Petraeus, the BIG question My question is while we wait for this to happen, how much more blood should we invest? If it takes another four years, I'd like to know from each of you your best, realistically optimistic view of where Iraq will be in those four years. And if it is, that we spend during that time another 4,000 American lives, creat another 20,000 plus people maimed for life, spend another 600 billion dollars, see our military further decimated more than it has been already, will...this...be...worth...it?

POPSIS MODERN LIFE, ONE BIG SWINDLE?
It seems EVERYTHING in our lives spell SWINDLE. From food, to medical care, charities, housing, religion, anything that affects our existence is somehow wrapped or sprinkled with chicanery. I have always believed, when a buck is to be made we all should display caution. Whether it be the tests doctors send you on or the imports coming in from merciless countries, we should all feel apprehension and not just blindly do what the so called benevolent powers tell us to do. In a profit driven society $$$ reins supreme. But it seems of all the ideologies the human race has come up with, capitalism appears to be the only one that can somewhat work with the (although high) lowest of suffering for the people held to such an ideology. Nevertheless, that doesn't mean we should all turn into sheep, following and doing exactly what we are told, without question. Go into this site http://www.whale.to/ for some incite, gaining a little bit of knowledge so you can stave off being someone's pigeon!

POPSVietNam War Language Of all the people who should have learned from history's past mistakes, George W Bush and his henchmen should have learned from Vietnam. The misery these warmongers have caused humanity is incomprehensible... I came across this quote... a quote of hope in these unbearable times. “Remember that all through history the way of truth and love has always won. There have been tyrants and murderers and for a time they seem invincible but in the end, they always fall -- think of it, ALWAYS.” -- Mahatma Gandhi

POPSA WARNING TO THE DEMOCRAT PARTY CORTMEISTER262 is an exemplar of how we democrats feel about our representatives in congress... Like he, we are all sick and tired of the politics this party seems to be playing. This is our lives and our constitution the Lilly-livered politicians are messing around with. As cortmeister262 so angrily states... We need to stop voting them in, if they keep on the same track as republicans... We should all collectively shout... WE WILL NOT VOTE FOR YOU AGAIN! OUR VOTE WILL GO TO THOSE WORTHY OF IT... THE BRAVE ONES WHO ARE UNAFRAID TO SPEAK OUT AGAINST THE CRIMINALS OCCUPYING THE HIGHEST OFFICE. THOSE WHO EXPRESS THE TRUTH LIKE, DENNIS KUCINICH OR RON PAUL. MAYBE THEN THE DESCENT POLITICIANS WILL HAVE A CHANCE TO WIN AN ELECTION AND THE TWO PARTIES CAN STOP LAUGHING AND START LISTENING TO THEIR AND OUR WORDS OF WISDOM.

POPSI LOVE YOUTUBE I really do love youtube. Belong to it, and have posted several videos on it. Young and old are addicted to it and I can tell you why. IT'S ENTERTAINING AND INFORMATIVE TO A FAULT. Last night's debate with candidates answering youtube video questions submitted by folks like you and me, was the clincher. I had tears in my eyes, more than once. Real People, Real Questions, had turned, most of the polished Democratic candidates, into Real Mentors. What a breath of fresh air it was.

POPSNATIONAL REVIEW'S "SHIP OF FOOLS" VIDEO This is a must read article for all those who live in reality. It's an interesting detailed account of what the neoconservatives have to say when they think rational people are not listening... In other words when THEY LET THEIR HAIR DOWN and tell each other the nonsense that is the core of their beliefs. Read and cringe as you realize what LA LA WORLD these people live in and hope beyond hope that they don't succeed in making us all believe that such a selfish, megalomania world is for real!!! thinkingblue PS: Please watch the youtube video to get a picture image of this daft neocon event. POPSTO BELIEVE OR NOT TO BELIEVE SHOULD BE THE QUESTION.
The phrase "TO BE OR NOT TO BE" comes from Shakespeare's Hamlet, Prince of Denmark, This verse sums up the debate over RELIGION, GOD, AND THE POLITICS OF RELIGION to a T... To a T to me anyway... I believe (yes I do) the whole debate is anchored in the fear of dying or the fear of not existing but whether you believe or not believe, CAN'T WE ALL JUST GET ALONG? To be or not to be, that is the question; Whether 'tis nobler in the mind to suffer The slings and arrows of outrageous fortune, Or to take arms against a sea of troubles, And by opposing, end them. To die, to sleep; No more; and by a sleep to say we end The heart-ache and the thousand natural shocks That flesh is heir to — 'tis a consummation Devoutly to be wish'd. To die, to sleep; To sleep, perchance to dream. Ay, there's the rub, For in that sleep of death what dreams may come, When we have shuffled off this mortal coil, Must give us pause. There's the respect That makes calamity of so long life, MORE AT: ht

POPSPalast on Bush's Vultures From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia A vulture fund is a financial organization that specializes in buying securities in distressed environments, such as high-yield bonds in or near default, or equities that are in or near bankruptcy. As the name suggests, these funds are metaphorically like circling vultures patiently waiting to pick over the remains of a rapidly weakening company or, in the case of sovereign debt, debtor. Market practitioners prefer to refer to them as distressed debt or special situations funds. Vulture funds focused on debt target not only corporate obligors, but also sovereign debtor states... POPSLil' Bush on Comedy Central, Lil' Bush on Comedy Central is the most outrageous caustic bit of black comedy since Myra Breckinridge the movie. The adult cartoon sitcom takes liberties with George W Bush as a child and intertwines his outlandish adult conduct as president. Which oddly, seems less emphasized coming from a juvenile's mind, since children can get away with so much more because of their innocence. That being said, the Lil' Bush kid, still comes across as arrogant, rude and pretentiously pious just like the grown-up George. Go to thinkingblue blog for more Lil' Bush videos... http://thinkingblue.blogspot.com

POPSALL MY LIFE, TROUBLE IN AMERICA. Why can't we have an America, a world where we respect one another. Why should this be a pipedream of naive people. I feel it could happen, I feel it should happen. If it doesn't, we will not just have wars, we will have annihilation. I am far from a doomsayer but it doesn't take a rocket scientist to predict the inevitable with all the nuclear weapons, stockpiled around the world and more countries trying or succeeding to get their hands on these WMD's themselves. If we stop laughing at those who champion peace instead of conflict to solve problems... maybe someday peace and cooperation will have the reverence it should. www.thinkingblue.blogspot.com

POPSREFLECTIONS ON WORKING POOR, MIDDLECLASS AND AOHELL'S BLOG
I like blogs. They are like editorials from the ordinary, statements from the common person who work, pay bills, and pay taxes on her/his compensational wages. With this money she/he goes out, at the end of her/his hard workday, buys the things she/he needs and pays taxes again. What does she/he get in return for all her/his labors and double taxation. She/He gets the chance to get up the next day and do it all again. That's what it seems anyway, for the ordinary American middleclass person who is constantly climbing a greased pole trying to stay out of the ranks of the poor dangling below her/his suspension on this Achilles' heel of a pole. It has too fast become an inescapable failure for most to stay economically afloat. Two salaries per household and still they can't pass muster and avoid the catch-phrase "working poor". Please read http://www.aohell.com/archives/cat_americanpresidency.html or AOHELL'S blog, http://www.aohell.com/index.html Thanks, http://thinkingblue.blogspot.com

POPS1972 Nixon Re-election,and 20 year old Karl Rove.
" "Bush’s political style, his attitudes toward executive power, and his contempt for democratic procedures — it has been clear for many years now that his real role model is Nixon. The resemblances could fill a magazine article as long as Keller’s. Both Bush and Nixon, resentful of the supposed cultural dominance of liberals, perfected a conservative populism that vilifies academics, journalists, bureaucrats and other professionals as out-of-touch elites. Both men, hostile to the news media, rigidly prescribed the messages that their staffers could take to the press. Both vaunted secrecy, restricted access to information, and politicized areas of the government once deemed the province of non-partisan experts. Iraq has generated even more echoes of the Nixon years. In a book review in The New York Times recently, Michiko Kakutani said it was hard to read Robert Dallek’s new tome, “Nixon and Kissinger” without regarding it “as a kind of parable about the presidency of George W.
