POPSOne Little Star Fish For Health Care Reform I just wrote to President Obama concerning the public option or lack thereof. I am so disappointed that this might be a possibility, especially after I have been breaking my neck trying to support the Health Care Reform Bill with a Public Option inclusion. I went for the Dem's bait of giving a dollar a day contribution to show the naysayers that we are united in this cause. It appears nothing is working for us pro-health care reformers and the teabagger/townhallers and the insurance lobbies are winning. Even Pres. Obama is caving on his promise to get it passed during his day in the sun. Did I say I was disappointed? That's an understatement. What I am feeling right now is total DISGUST. They exaggerate, amplify, blow out of proportion and hyperbolize everything and I mean EVERYTHING that may cause apprehension amongst those who are unaware of what the radio host real motive is (make ada BIG BUCKS!). In other words they prey upon the gullible for gain. I wish these vulnerable people could become informed the old fashion way by reading and inquiring the many information outlets available (legitimate newspapers and educational library books) but that's too difficult for them, plus they may be too worn-out from the hard lives they are forced to lead, due to lack of information and education. It's just too easy to click a knob on the old TV or radio and tune into the shows that dumb down their audiences. Also, the Limbaugh's give them a punching bag to direct their pant-up anger at. It’s not only sad, it’s criminal.

POPSI'm Still Angry After All These Years I thought the Republican Party's sickening malevolence would become a thing of the past once the American people woke up and realized their responsibility towards defending our nation against fifth column organizations such as the GOP. In 2008 Barack Obama was elected because many of the sleepy heads removed their rose colored glasses and turned away from the smear machines and chanted… “Wait A Freakin’ minute, I'm getting bumpkis, nada, zilch and losing what little I did have because of the hateful Karl Rove Republicans. Hey, with so much at stake, I think I’ll vote for this new guy who offers hope instead of hate!” (I can dream, can't I?) This “awakening” allowed Obama to win by a fairly large margin. As for the GOP fading and giving us all a break? No way, not if they can help it. POPSSibling Rivalries, The Story of (Mc) Cain and Abel As soon as I read this story, an old biblical folklore came to mind... The one about Cain (without the Mc) and his brother Abel. Abel, the first murder victim, is sometimes seen as the first martyr; while Cain, the first murderer, (or in Mc's case, the character assassinator) is sometimes seen as a progenitor (originator) of evil. There is another verse from the bible that could fit here, as well. "He Who Lives in a Glass House Shouldn't Throw Stones at Others!" POPSWhy No One Should Listen To Rush Limbaugh Limbaugh Crosses the Line by Roy Perdue Though it has been years since I degraded my intelligence as to listen to the Rush Limbaugh show, it was brought to my attention last night that Limbaugh finally crossed the line. Apparently Rush was on another of his rants about how great Abraham Lincoln was, and how wrong the South was in the conflict commonly called the American Civil War. I listened to Limbaugh a great deal in the late 90s and up until about 2002. I finally became fed up with his attitude that every thing that Bush and the GOP do is holy. Limbaugh that those that expose the corruption in the GOP are liberals and working for the Democrats. As John Stossel would say, "Give me a break!" Limbaugh has also stated many times that he would like to see America be taken over by a "conservative" dictatorship, even going so far as to say that he could straighten out the country within two years if he were named the dictator!
