Sorry Ass News For A Sunday Morning

    by thinkingblue  11-1-2009    1
Did you ever pick up a newspaper and wished you hadn't? Well that's what happened to me this morning. It wasn't an actual real time Newspaper but in today's world it was a Newsdig but I still wished that I hadn't clicked! First it was a, Health Care {NO} Reform won by the Health Care and insurance Industry. Then the gloom and doom news from Afghanistan. It's enough to make you put on a pair of rose colored glasses or stick your head in the sand. But alas, I can't do that, because then I would become part of the (Sarah Palin - Michele Bachmann et al ) crazy lunatic fringe mob on the right!

After viewing President Obama's speech last night. I went to my computer to click on the video I did after Obama was elected. I wanted to feel the pride I had felt on election night once again. I am so proud of this president. He is eloquent, intelligent, graceful and STREETWISE to boot. He is human, so mistakes will be made but he is not afraid to admit his faults and I believe we are truly a lucky nation to have such a man as our leader.      The Republican Party has been using mob scenes for some time now... There was the 2000 election when they brought in their thugs to stop the recount. Then again during election times, especially the McCain/Palin rallies. Mob mentality was in vogue during that conservative get-togetherness. Palin, along with her talk radio groupies would tell their base anything, short of go out and lynch the opposition, to rile their followers into a hateful bunch of bigots. Now again, they are at it with their dusting off of the ugly mob crowds and sending them out to descend upon democratic town hall meetings. These people (MOBS) are blatantly hateful and law abiding citizens don't know what to make of their anger... and that's exactly how they win. So many people believe they are just a crazy fringe and laugh them off while they grow just like the movie blob and cover the land with gooey, sticky, nasty hostility... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EhOiP6OaTMs

Then again during election days, especially the McCain/Palin rallies (that really should have been called the divide and scatter gatherings.) Now again, they are at it with their organizing mob crowds to descend upon democratic town hall meetings. These people are hateful and law abiding citizens don't know what to make of these type of tactics... That's how they win. So many people believe they are just a crazy fringe and laugh at them while they grow like a blob (as in the movie THE BLOB)... The main problem with normal people is they don't realize how many stupid crazy people inhabit this country... When one gets wind of what the other crazies are doing they jump out of their boring lives and join the mob band wagon.       Me and My Facebook I was introduced to Mark Morford during the nightmare of the Bush/Cheney or is it the Cheney/Bush administration’s HELLISH 8 year reign. His articles with all its sarcastic truthisms helped me survive during those dark days. After the 2004 horrendous election when the unthinkable of all unthinkables happened and the lunatics occupying our highest house of authority were given 4 more years to wreck havoc. When Bush/Cheney and their minions, smirked at the cameras, I was beside myself in despair. Then Mark Morford wrote an article for New Year’s 2005 and suggested how to survive the gloom of the following years. Amongst other suggestions he said ‘WHY NOT START A BLOG’. http://www.sfgate.com/cgi-bin/article.cgi?f=/g/a/2005/01/05/notes010505.DTL LIGHTBULBS lit up for me, http://thinkingblue.blogspot.com/2005/01/its-not-easy-being-blue.html I’ve been blogging ever since. UPDATE - One last Bill...to be VETOED by Bush"

    by thinkingblue  1-10-2009
An update on the clipped, “One last Bill for …", January 6th article. It looks like Congress (under Obama) has grown some brass balls (MUCHO CAHONES) and closed a loophole the Bush/ Supreme Court, had used to “screw” women in the work force … It’s been a long time coming! Perhaps the weight they’ve (mostly republican corporate sympathizers) have put upon the average American’s back is starting to crumble the whole country, (republican corporate sympathizers included) so it’s time to take a second look at the hardships they’ve created for those (the majority) at the bottom. I have been disappointed in the past at how the R-conservative’s have buffaloed the D-liberal’s into accepting the many inequities they, so joyfully spread over the land, as GOOD FOR AMERICA. Maybe now, with Obama at the helm, we can once again laud their efforts to bring about LIBERTY AND JUSTICE FOR ALL. :-D PS: Let’s see Bush carry out his last threat to VETO this one… Any wagers?

More evidence that leaders of the RR (Religious Right) are stark raving mad. Anyone who willingly chooses one of these quacks as a spiritual guide through their life, needs to see a REAL HONEST TO GOODNESS guidance counselor... like maybe a psychiatrist! How sad it is to hand over a potentially viable thinking mind to one of these charlatans who will wrap the chains of irrationality and foolishness around the minds of the weak and padlock them so securely that no reality based info can get in or out. What's even more depressing is when an adult can easily hand over their young to be pummeled with shame, guilt and fear for the rest of their lives. Who does this priest think he is anyway to hold part of this religion's ritual, as hostage to get his own delusional way. People should run as far as they can from this kook!      The McCain-Palin Campaign has stooped so low it’s hard to believe it is an USA Org.... Did I just say that? The GOP can only win through dirty politics, or so they presume. The code words they use, seem so misplaced in today disastrous economy, which will only get much worse. (Especially, under a McCain/Palin administration) We will never see the end of all the sick, malicious name-calling and assassination of character during elections, unless the American voter will stop acting like frightened children, voting for fear-mongers who scare the BEJESUS out of them. This article shows why, John McCain BETTER NOT become the next president. If he does, our nation most likely, will not survive the slide the Republicans have brought about with their small government mantra, unregulated market creed and trickle-down, fairytale economics which means... huge welfare checks given to the rich, who are suppose to, in return, share with us at the bottom.      It's bottomless! I swear these people, the Republican people, who run elections have no soul. I know, sadly, there's enough dirty tricks to go around in all the political persuasions. But the Repubs really know how to pull off the dirtiest of dirty tricks, without blinking an eye! I wonder why that is? Is it because they believe rules and laws are meaningless when it comes to getting their party the winning prize? Or maybe they just have been mentally brainwashed and have become barbarian brutes, due to using, low blows for so long they can't tell RIGHT from WRONG any longer? I believe it's the latter, with also, quite a bit of truth in the former. Read about how they (repubs) wish to use the house addresses of those unfortunate individuals who have had their shelters, their family homes, confiscated by foreclosure, so they would be disqualified from voting because they no longer lived at such address. Calling it disgusting is way too mild.

The closer we get to the presidential election the more John McCain looks and acts like George W. Bush. I don't know what his strategy is all about but do we really want another term of the neocons and Bush? I think not! Perhaps, he is banking on another 9/11 or something to shock Americans into the same fear-hold Karl Rove and the rest of the neocon manipulators had on the people...You know that PNAC group (which has since shut down their site...hmmm I wonder why, does rats overboard mean anything?) But, the PNAC in order to unleash their foreign/military campaigns needed a catalyzing event like "a new Pearl Harbor". (neocon quote) 9/11 rode to their rescue. Now they were able to Pied Piper all the little frightened children into the black hole of hell. But their utopian plan did not work out so well. Maybe they need another Pearl Harbor because it seems the little children have lost some of their fear and may need a booster shot. How much more can we take? Obama or Anyone But McBush!

ARIANNA HUFFINGTON Well, first of all, I was not a supporter in that I was planning to vote for him, but I was an admirer of McCain. I considered him a real leader. So even though I disagreed with him on many issues, I saw in him somebody who genuinely wanted to bring about reform and somebody with a real independence streak. So it was really sad for me to see him be willing to sell his soul to become president of the United States. And the fact that he had told me at a dinner in 2000 in the presence of other people, who have corroborated, it seems, that he did not vote for George Bush, is really a perfect indication of who John McCain was in 2000 and why so many people, including so many in the media, fell in love with him. This was a man who was so independent and so abhorred George Bush, whom he described as dangerous... A truth article about this election - BITTER POLITICS
    thinkingblue
    by thinkingblue  5-25-2008    1
A truth article about politics... But it wasn't just the media. In a recent Sunday talk-show appearance, McCain was eager to delve--unprompted--into yet another discussion about Bill Ayers, while Clinton invoked her affinity for her small-town brethren by recounting her girlhood shooting lessons. In other words, multimillionaire McCain, the millionaire pundit class and the millionaire Clintons all spent the last weeks waging a culture war against a man who spent most of his career organizing in or representing the South Side of Chicago. It was enough to make one cling to religion. What was so dispiriting about this spectacle wasn't its nastiness. Politics in a democracy will always be rancorous; it's the nonviolent means we've established to referee conflicting interests. No, it was the sheer staleness: the run-up to Pennsylvania was dominated by the umpteenth iteration of a clash of fabricated caricatures. More below:

Join The Party. You Don't Have To Be Young... The Iowa caucus is an electoral event in which Iowa residents elect delegates to the county convention to which their precinct belongs. There are 99 counties in Iowa and thus 99 conventions. These county conventions then select delegates for both Iowa's Congressional District Convention and the State Convention, which eventually choose the delegates for the National Convention. The Iowa caucus is noteworthy for the amount of media attention it receives during U.S. presidential election years: Since 1972, the Iowa caucus has been the first major electoral event of the nominating process for President of the United States. It has served as an early indication of which candidates for President might win the nomination of their political party at that party's national convention.      This is a story that should outrage anyone who considers themselves to be human. It's loathsome, asinine and chilling. Not only did Blackwater's employees commit a heinous crime, it looks as though they are now going to get away with it, but that isn't the most scandalizing peculiarity of this despicable mercenary episode. It now looks as though they will get away with this unlawful act... thanks to, THE U.S. GOVERNMENT'S HELP! Can what happens during an unnecessary war, get any more troubling? Will it ever end?

RECORD PROFITS FOR HEALTH INSURANCE CO.
    thinkingblue
    by thinkingblue  10-19-2007
The health Insurance Business (or maybe a better word would be racket) is earning profits that are going through the roof. (According to the New York Times, overall the insurance industry expects to earn about sixty billion dollars in profit. This comes after the insurance industry earned forty-three billion dollars last year in spite of natural disasters like Hurricane Katrina.) Hmmmm, I wonder where all these profits are coming from...? You guessed it, right out of our "barely can afford health insurance" pockets. Are you listening Mr. VETO KIDS HEATH INSURANCE, BUSH and your loyalists who helped you maintain your veto, on the Republican side of the isle! I doubt it... Since 2004. he never has nor ever will listen to the masses who put him where he is. He doesn't need them anymore, since he cannot run for re-election, so why should he listen to their pleas.

THE PECKSNIFFERY OF KING GEORGE W. BUSH.

I watched LIVE, George W Bush do lip service on TV to condemn the moveon.org ad criticizing General Petraeus for beating the drum for Bush's War to continue. What a hypocrite! For the president to declare guilty, this organization for calling it like it is and remain silent when his own right winged groups tried to destroy the reputations of two war heroes, Max Cleland and John Kerry, is pathetic beyond belief. When will the pecksiffery stop? I guess it will never cease as long as we settle for unethical and dishonest politicians who blatantly lie and get our votes anyhow.

A WARNING TO THE DEMOCRAT PARTY
    thinkingblue
    by thinkingblue  8-15-2007    1
CORTMEISTER262 is an exemplar of how we democrats feel about our representatives in congress... Like he, we are all sick and tired of the politics this party seems to be playing. This is our lives and our constitution the Lilly-livered politicians are messing around with. As cortmeister262 so angrily states... We need to stop voting them in, if they keep on the same track as republicans... We should all collectively shout... WE WILL NOT VOTE FOR YOU AGAIN! OUR VOTE WILL GO TO THOSE WORTHY OF IT... THE BRAVE ONES WHO ARE UNAFRAID TO SPEAK OUT AGAINST THE CRIMINALS OCCUPYING THE HIGHEST OFFICE. THOSE WHO EXPRESS THE TRUTH LIKE, DENNIS KUCINICH OR RON PAUL. MAYBE THEN THE DESCENT POLITICIANS WILL HAVE A CHANCE TO WIN AN ELECTION AND THE TWO PARTIES CAN STOP LAUGHING AND START LISTENING TO THEIR AND OUR WORDS OF WISDOM.
