Bush/Cheney Pot calling the Kettle black!
    thinkingblue
    by thinkingblue  5-29-2008    1
The Bush/Cheney Neocons would have loved patterning the USA after the repressive government of Uzbekistan but thanks to our constitution (a bit tattered from the last 8 years) for not allowing them this fantasy. With all their criminal efforts they have rendered America as the Pot and Uzbekistan the Kettle. The charred blackness which is on the Pot; doesn't see the black on himself and calls the kettle black! Excerpted From Article: But this is Uzbekistan, a repressive country where laws mean little, rights are relative and torture is endemic... After criticism from Wash., Uzbekistan ejected the U S from a military base that was supplying the war effort in Afghanistan. How much influence should the US try to exercise — if any at all — over another country’s behavior? And will that country be receptive, given the abuse, indefinite detentions and closed tribunals that have been part of the United States’ record in recent years?

Canada Refuses Stay to Resisters of an Illegal War
    thinkingblue
    by thinkingblue  5-27-2008
There are many people alive today because Canada gave them refuge from another felonious war so long ago in Vietnam. Now, they are turning their backs to resisters even though they themselves, decided not to fight an illegal war. Hmmm, I wonder why? In a free country, one should have the right to protest an unjust war but we are not a free country. The conscientious objectors have no where to turn.. They can't go back to their own country and Canada won't allow them to stay within their borders. Isn't it ironic that Bush and Cheney have illegally kidnapped and transported people out of different countries to deliver them for torture, abroad and have yet to receive punishment for their criminal actions. Yet a resister to an unlawful preempted war gets the book thrown at him. You must fight, and possibly die even if it is only for a neocon pipedream... Something is so wrong with this picture. I sure hope President Bush enjoyed his game of golf today!

Dangerous or Laughable? (I chose both but the former rather than the latter is more direct... One Dangerous Dude!) ~~~~~~~ It was no surprise that Limbaugh would call for riots at the Democratic National Convention in Denver to embarrass the Democrats. Limbaugh -- and his fellow purveyors of hate on the airwaves -- are dangerous demagogues whom pro-democracy Americans too easily dismiss as poltroonish shills for the entrenched powers. It's a regular staple of the millionaire right-wing echo chamber to use the explicit or implicit language of violence. In fact, the entire "frame" of everyone from Sean Hannity to Bill O'Reilly to Rush Limbaugh is to convince their listeners that people who don't agree with these "pundits of patriotism" are the enemy and dangerous to America. A Valentine Gift For America
    thinkingblue
    by thinkingblue  2-14-2008    1
It's been a long time since I've felt inspired by a presidential race. Not since JFK, and I was too young to vote for him. Like Kennedy I get a chill and teary eyed when Obama speaks. It's been a long time but it feels good. So to those who, still possess hope. Hope that our country can survive the disunion brought about by so many administrations. We've been blinded by insincere words and lies. The band-aid cures diagnosed by those at the top who seem to think war is the answer to any problem. We now have a chance to put all this behind us. I hope we grasp this opportunity. We may not get another one! Barack Obama, knows he can't do this alone. He doesn't say, he's the decider so you can go shopping. He tells us, he needs our help, because we are all the grown-ups in this problematic life. We all need to pitch in if we want to save our standing in this world. I think I'm in love again, love for my country. Happy Valentine's Day '08! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iWcw2OEyhXI

It looks like the lies, and mudslinging have become a way of life in political circles and campaigns. But of all people to use such tactics, one would imagine, Hillary Clinton could never resort to such dirty tricks. After all the lies that the republican camps had flung her way hoping to smear her husband and herself into obliteration, I would think she would have become a defender of truth. I'm very disappointed with Hillary and Bill's choice to embrace the swiftboater's dirty maneuvers to win an election. If we the people keep listening to known lies and casting our votes for those who sling such lies, we deserve what we get as our leaders. In other words, we deserved George W. Bush and we deserved his efforts to FALL THE USA EMPIRE. Please read: Reasons for the fall of the Roman Empire http://killeenroos.com/1/Romefall.htm and notice the similarities. WE DO NOT TORTURE?
    thinkingblue
    by thinkingblue  11-25-2007    5
Read johnnywaters9999 comment: --- “The US does not torture,” President Bush has repeated often—in the face of terrible pictures from Abu Ghraib and vicious stories from around the world. What is the President saying? Is it a lie or wishful denial, or positive thinking, or casuist ry, or political pandering? Richard Pryor had a comedy routine where he advised husbands caught in flagranto to counter with “are you going to believe me or your lying eyes?” Sometimes we deny by closing our eyes. But sometimes we deny by rationalizing; by attacking the facts with negation and reasoning. President Bush can say the US doesn’t torture because he redefines US and torture. To wit: The US is good and wouldn’t do anything bad. A few bad apple rogue torturers working the night shift at Abu Ghraib aren’t the US. And, aided by lawyers, he torques senseless the meaning of torture, restricting it by abstraction and redefinition, and by the Secretary of Defense special—reduction to the absurd.

AND THE WINNER IS... IRAQ WAR!!

    by thinkingblue  11-7-2007    1
Mark Morford, one of the best satirical journalists weighs in on the BEST OF 07, naming IRAQ, winner of BEST WAR OF 2007. The relentless passing of time, has no effects on this war, each year it enters History's Hall of Shame, without end as long as Bush/Cheney are at the helm. It's so agonizingly painful that Morford's column this time in '08 will read again, Iraq named "War of the Year"! Bloody nation cheers 5th straight title. Bush will be speechlost and VP Dick Cheney, will utter "On behalf of myself and my boss who will both go down in history as two of the most insipid and deleterious world leaders you will ever have the displeasure of miserably recalling all your sad and pathetic days," The many years of this calamitous, tragic war have been augural, each year’s outcome predictable, no crystal ball needed. And no matter how WE THE PEOPLE bang our heads against the wall to end it, all we come up with, is a collective BUMP on our anguished heads. http://thinkingblue.blogspot.com/

    by thinkingblue  11-5-2007
I made this page almost two years ago, when I use to clipmark pages without the aid of CLIPMARKS. At that time I enjoyed reading John Cory's articles. He is a Vietnam veteran who received the Purple Heart and Bronze Star with V (Valor) device, 1969 - 1970. I guess he's what Limbaugh would brand a PHONY SOLDIER! He writes with straightforward feelings of Anger and Sorrow, the sentiments most of us have about the long scourge of the Bush/Cheney/Neocon Administration. Almost 7 years of suffering for most and a devastating downward slide into the abyss for our Nation. I thought when the Dems won the slight majority in 2006... all the negatives Bush and his cabal had unleashed would finally start to turn around and become undone. But little has changed, far from enough. The Big Question is... WILL IT EVER END? And The Big Answer is... MAYBE IT'S TOO LATE! All we can do is sit and wait in THE BUSH ZONE... oh yes, and... HOPE that it's not too late! :-?

After watching the video, just Imagine if this was a US Family, attacked by foreign Mercenaries in our America. Blackwater, is probably just the tip of the iceberg, when it comes to the secrecy that goes on beyond scrutiny within the neocon Whitehouse. (Cheney quote in Sept 2001 - "The dark side, we'll spend time in the shadows and in the intelligence world... a lot of what needs to be done here will have to be done quietly, without any discussion, using sources and methods that are available to our intelligence agencies.") I wonder what he meant by that..? Perhaps the wheels turning inside the head of Dick Cheney, gave him visions of TELEPHONE TAPPING OF US CITIZENS, TORTURING THOSE WHO GOT CAUGHT IN HIS WEB OF TYRANNY, BUILDING POWERFUL MERCENARY ARMIES PAID FOR BY WE THE TAX PAYERS AND CHERRY PICKING INTELLIGENCE IN ORDER TO STRIKE PREEMPTIVELY, SOVEREIGN NATIONS WITHOUT THE PESKY QUESTIONS THAT WOULD HAVE BEEN ASKED BY A CONGRESS IN A FREE SOCIETY.      Cheney knew in '94, war with Iraq would be a quagmire. And still he was hell-bent on going to war with Iraq. If this doesn't speak Impeachment of Richard Bruce "Dick" Cheney... NOTHING DOES! -- The founding fathers had good reasons for rebelling against Britain’s King George III: “He has affected to render the Military independent of and superior to the Civil power … (he is) abolishing our most valuable laws and altering fundamentally the forms of our Governments.” That’s why our Constitution created checks and balances. -- Whereas, George W. Bush and Richard B. Cheney conspired with others to defraud the United States of America by intentionally misleading Congress and the public regarding the threat from Iraq in order to justify a war in violation of Title 18 United States Code, Section 371; http://www.mass-impeach.org/townhall-impeachment/wendell/

Since 2001, Steiger has run the Office of Global Health Affairs in the Department of Health and Human Services. Richard H. Carmona, who commissioned the "Call to Action on Global Health" while serving as surgeon general from 2002 to 2006, recently cited its suppression as an example of the Bush administration's frequent efforts during his tenure to give scientific documents a political twist. Steiger said that "political considerations" did not delay the report; "sloppy work, poor analysis, and lack of scientific rigor did." (OF COURSE WE ALL BELIEVE THAT!) Steiger, 37, is godson of former pres George H.W. Bush and son of a Republican who represented Wisconsin in the House WHO hired a young Dick Cheney as an intern... (CRONYISM TO THE HIGHEST DEGREE!)

Lil' Bush on Comedy Central is the most outrageous caustic bit of black comedy since Myra Breckinridge the movie. The adult cartoon sitcom takes liberties with George W Bush as a child and intertwines his outlandish adult conduct as president. Which oddly, seems less emphasized coming from a juvenile's mind, since children can get away with so much more because of their innocence. That being said, the Lil' Bush kid, still comes across as arrogant, rude and pretentiously pious just like the grown-up George. What would we do without them... especially since Bush, Cheney and the NEOCONS. Now Turkey is getting effected by the Iraq lawlessness this war has caused. Regional warfare was the cautionary counsel put to the Bush/Neocons about a preemptive war in Iraq which, of course, they turned a deaf ear to...      There are so many more facts out there that can easily be placed on a list of high crimes and misdemeanors. Below are 3 major points that are crucial to proving Cheney's guilt. from CROSSING THE RUBICON Means - Dick Cheney and the Secret Service: Dick Cheney was running a completely separate chain of Command & Control via the Secret Service, assuring the paralysis of Air Force response on 9/11. The Secret Service has the technology to see the same radar screens the FAA sees in real time. They also have the legal authority and technological capability to take supreme command in cases of national emergency. Dick Cheney was the acting Commander in Chief on 9/11. Motive - Peak Oil: At some point between 2000 and 2007, world oil production reaches its peak; from that point on, every barrel of oil is going to be harder to find, more expensive to recover, and more valuable to those who recover and control it. Dick Cheney was well aware of the coming Peak Oil crisis at least as early as
