POPSYou're Not Going To Believe This One. Just when you think the Banks can’t possibly do more to hurt us... They come out with a lalapalooza... They are now going to charge their credit card customers for... hold on to your proverbial hats... INACTIVITY! I heard this on CNN this morning and I couldn't believe it. Bank of America, yup the ones who received $25 billion from the government's $700 billion financial rescue fund, including $10 billion that would have gone to Merrill had it not been acquired by good old Bank of America. Now, instead of just gouging those who are in debt and over a barrel they are targeting people who have enough income and only use credit cards, as a convenience. The question is, are these financially better off consumers going to take it? Or Are they going to (like the rest of us) GET MAD AS HELL AND NOT GONNA TAKE IT NO MO? I hope they will be strong enough, in numbers, to put these greedy banks in their place… If not there is NO JUSTICE! HAPPY NEW YEAR! :mad:

POPSAmerica's Most Stressful Cities Last week I clipped World's Most Happiest cities. It was based on perception not reality. Well, this little menu has more meat to it. Reading down the list of stress ridden cities, I think traffic. That is, overcrowded highways, pollution, rush hour and miserable faces stuck in traffic! I can’t help but think traffic when I think stress. The meanness in us comes to the surface during our daily commute, and then stays with us the whole day. Until our nine-to-five ends and we fight traffic again so we can get to our sanctuary and hide. There we stay till another sunrise appears and we do it all over again. :-? Oh, speaking of sunrises, it seems there was a noticeable error on this list… Miami Fl listed sunny days at 32... Holy Moly Batman, that's got to be a mistake. I lived down that way and believe me the yearly blistering, scorching, sizzling sunny days number more like 332 (you ain’t seen nuttin till you’ve seen boiling point stress in traffic :mad: )

POPSDemand Accountability for Torture I was watching MSNBC News and the scrolling marquee at the bottom of the screen read that Pres. Obama has assured CIA operatives they would not be prosecuted for their rough interrogation tactics. The marquee whizzed by and disappeared. I thought to myself, "oh, that can't be true". A short time went by and there it was again. That night Keith Olbermann's Special Comment was on that very subject and what he had to say was riveting. I know Pres. Obama has a lot of work to do to clean up the mess the Bush/Cheney Adm. left behind but to allow those who tortured others, (whether it be through orders or as Rush Limbaugh would put it "JUST TO LET OFF STEAM"), off the hook, IS WRONG!! He is a Vietnam veteran who received the Purple Heart and Bronze Star with V (Valor) device, 1969 - 1970. I guess he's what Limbaugh would brand a PHONY SOLDIER! :mad: He writes with straightforward feelings of Anger and Sorrow, the sentiments most of us have about the long scourge of the Bush/Cheney/Neocon Administration. Almost 7 years of suffering for most and a devastating downward slide into the abyss for our Nation. I thought when the Dems won the slight majority in 2006... all the negatives Bush and his cabal had unleashed would finally start to turn around and become undone.
