Right Wing Americans are Getting What They Deserve
    thisnamecantbetaken
    by thisnamecantbetaken  1-15-2007    59
Here's the last bit :) All I can say is that this is what you get for believing even for a moment what the US corporate media wants you to believe. The rest of us Bush haters are Bush haters for one reason and one reason only; we pay attention! So to my new former Bush supporting friends who seem to be suddenly surrounding me and telling me that I have been right all along: you can tell me I was right but after that shut the hell up because it is too late for forgiveness. From now on, just shut up and listen. Think about it! Yeah!! I just had to clip this. I just had to! .:D I'm just gonna have to take the s*** and excuses and apologetics the Bush supporters and neo-con clippers are gonna try to give me on this, but I don't care. It's most definitely worth it. This clip is for all my fellow "Bush-haters" Enjoy! I did!

    Republicans: Crazy, Or Nuts?
    gingembre
    by gingembre  1-4-2008    19
Who in their right mind would argue with the observations in this article? More: "The Republican Party has become an aggregation of people who prefer to live in a world of fantasy -- and their first fantasy, the Ur-myth on which the entire conceit rests, is (classically) "we are the realists." "It degrades, into farce and Newspeak, from there. The perpetrators and defenders of the outing of a CIA agent are "patriots." Tom DeLay is a "leader" and Newt Gingrich is a "visionary." The President plays guitar while New Orleans drowns, causes a hundred thousand Americans and Iraqis to be killed or injured, and outsources torture, and it's the Democrats who, per the repellent Ramesh Ponnuru, are the "party of death." "It has gotten so that you have to muster all the compassion and understanding of which you are capable just to think of the Republicans as a party of greedy corporatists manipulating the credulous, the provincial, and the bigoted. That's the nice way of putting it.”

Test: How to tell if you’re a moonbat
    suckmyclip
    by suckmyclip  8-5-2008    6
FTA: For those who came in late, moonbats are trust-funded, medicated, middle-aged, white-guilt-ridden blogging lefty losers who inflicted Deval Patrick upon the working people. The moonbats now yearn to elect Sen. Barack Obama, a Deval on steroids. If you are a guy with a ponytail, chances are you’re a moonbat - if you have a wide-brim leather hat too, the odds rise to 100 percent. If you’re a woman and you bring knitting to public meetings, consider yourself positively ID’ed. Your car contains at least three of the following bumper stickers: “Redefeat Bush,” “1-20-09,” “We ARE a Family and We Vote,” “Kerry-Edwards,” “Free Mumia,” “9/11 Was an Inside Job” and “Got Hope?” You still miss your favorite old bumper stickers: “Free Leonard Pelletier,” “War Is Not Healthy for Children and Other Living Things” and “Re-elect Marzilli.”

The foundation has awarded more than $27 million in scholarships to children of slain troops and law enforcement officers, Kallstrom said, as well as support money for disabled veterans and their families.”

    Tony Snow, Dies at 53

    by merrie  7-12-2008    4
Robert Anthony Snow was born June 1, 1955, in Berea, Ky., the son of a teacher and nurse. He graduated from Davidson College in 1977 with a bachelor's degree in philosophy, and he taught briefly in Kenya before embarking on his career as a journalist. He became a nationally syndicated columnist, and in 1991 he became director of speechwriting for President George H.W. Bush. Snow had his colon removed and underwent six months of chemotherapy after he was diagnosed with colon cancer in 2005. In 2007, he announced that his cancer had recurred and had spread to his liver. He resigned from the White House weeks later and was replaced by his deputy, Dana Perino. After taking time off to recuperate, Snow joined CNN as a conservative political correspondent early this year. Snow is survived by his wife, Jill, their son Robbie and their daughters Kendell and Christie.

Every time I believe the right-wing nutters have reached their bottom when it comes to smear tactics, I find myself being shocked back into reality. Now we have Rush Limbaugh, Michellle Malkin, Mark Styne and Senator Mitch McConnell attacking a 12-year-old boy whose family made use of the schip program to help pay for the medical needs he and his sister incurred in a serious automobile accident. They accuse this child of lying for political reasons. This is the same kind of thing Limbaugh and his cronies did to Michael J. Fox when he campaigned for stem cell research, when Limbaugh claimed Mr. Fox was faking his symptoms in order to gain sympathy. Do these people have no feelings whatsoever? To smear a sick child for their own even sicker political purposes is beneath contempt.

Sounding as if it was HIS idea, this little boy in an old man's body talks about how he and the Clear Channel boss ("Mark Mays and I")never thought the letter would generate such high amount and volume of bids($ 2,100,000). He speaks as if the fact that it is HIS letter with the signatures of 41 Democrats on it,("We were short on time or WE would have gotten more names on it") is the reason why people are bidding on it. Harry!! Your attempts to HORN IN, while conceding backhand kudos to Rush for helping out, are going to taint the whole project and undermine the value of the letter, you self-important over-inflated little rag doll. The value of the letter is in the semi-facetious yet realistic view of your snitty little attempts to suppress speech and your merit-less, misguided attacks.

My jaw dropped as I heard someone say exactly what I thought & felt but with credibility and facts to back up what he was saying. He is an astute student of American history/politics and still has the values of the generations past of America. Plus he's optimistic and I rarely am. :~(

As one listens to his conservative radio talk personality, one is moved to question whether it's his true self, not because Savage isn't consistent in his views, but because the views are so grotesque it's difficult to believe that anyone-let alone a former beatnik-could espouse them with a straight face. While it's more than passing strange for a homophobic, conservative radio host to work out of San Francisco, Savage continues to broadcast nationally from his base in the city he likes to call "San Fran Sicko. In his book The Savage Nation: Saving America from the Liberal Assault on Our Borders, Language and Culture, he writes, "I was raised on neglect, anger, and hate. I was raised the old-fashioned way."

Macbeth was discharged from the army before he had even completed basic training, because according to representatives with the U.S. Army, he was either unfit, unsuitable, or both, to serve in the military. It is the anti-war left that needs to be condemned, once again. The anti-war Left keeps getting caught promoting bogus allegations made by "phony soldiers" because the Left is desperate for any allegations that are made which might discredit Operation Iraqi Freedom. They do this for one simple reason – they so hate this war that they are determined to undermine the war effort and hope that America loses so they can play a pathetic and dangerous game of "I told you so."
