LET'S CALL THE WHOLE THING OFF! More Bush Administration's HANDIWORK, to make you Sick, REALLY SICK! Under pressure in 2003 and 2004, the White House agreed to dilute record-keeping proposals by FDA safety experts. "If the FDA had been given the resources and authority years ago that it asked for to solve these kinds of problems, I think we would have solved this already," said W. Hubbard, a former FDA associate commissioner. Tommy Thompson, who was health secretary during the industry's lobbying campaign, acknowledged that a more robust food-tracking system — opposed by business groups as too expensive — could have helped stem the current illnesses More Here: http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20080725/ap_on_go_ca_st_pe/salmonella_lobbying --- Hey Folks, we're sitting ducks to Big Business desires... Thanks Cenk, I needed that pick-me-up. Sorry McCain, if the shoe fits... Wear It! ;-) ---- (If the shoe fits, wear it) If something belongs or pertains to you, accept it. This proverb first appeared as “if the cap fits,” which may have referred to a fool’s cap. The later version has become more common and is associated with the glass slipper in the fairy tale, “Cinderella.”

The Prosecution Of George W Bush for Murder

by thinkingblue  7-22-2008    1
When I first saw Vincent Bugliosi, talk about his book "The Prosecution Of George W Bush for Murder", I was blown away. I thought, he's not just another crackpot trying to sell a crackpot book, he is serious. Bush lied us into an illegal war and thus far, nothing, but words has happened to him and his crew. Is this reality? A reality that allows Bush to go scot-free for so many crimes. With no one not one group to point a finger and demand he pay for his misdeeds. Without a doubt, Bush, appears to be one who IS above the law. Not only is he above the law, he gets help to get away with his transgression. (namely: the FISA vote).... We are, most of us anyway, holding our breaths to see this sad excuse for a man leave the highest office, once and for all. But is that enough? I hope Bugliosi, one of the greatest prosecutors of our time, will not rest until he sees justice served upon George W. Bush. Also watch, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HlISseXFjng

Hey, believe that and I've got a bridge on the MOON to sell ya! Good Gobbly Goop, there are too many gullibles in the USA. Sometimes, I get a notion to post on the Internet, something so outrageous, that only a person living on some mountaintop without any info at hand and with an IQ of minus 10, could believe. Just to see how breakneck fast it would go from computer to computer. Then I’ll sit back and listen to the, collective shouts of the 'Uninformed" yelling, "I TOLD YOU SO, I KNEW OBAMA WAS A DIRTY WHATCHAMACALLIT!" We sure are a nation of nincompoops (Well, too many, anyhow.). It's scary, that countless "informationally challenged" will vote for a USA president, based on rumors and negative hearsay of the opposition. What's so stressful, is that not only they, will live with the consequences but the rest of us who have half a brain will also have to live with their boneheaded mindsets. Just for fun, let's have another 8 years of Dubya to see what how low we could go.

Obama Fades? I can't speak for anyone else but for me his glow has dimmed, since he started wearing that flag lapel pin. While living through years of the worst president the US has had at the helm, I could identify the enemy or the Bush supporters by their Bush/Neocon fraternity pins. And I could direct my anger even before the Bushy sycophants opened their bombastic collective rhetorical pie-holes and blather the some ole, same ole. So the flag label pin had become a symbol of pretentious superciliousness to me. Of course, with Obama pandering to the "R's" and the "I's" who voted for Dubya and helped ruin our country and make us a laughing stock all over the world (Remember the headline from the UK’s Daily Mirror: How Can 1,230,065 People Be So Dumb?) may have a little to do with the Obama Fade From Grace. But that PIN is all I see when this eloquent orator takes center stage and its glare has a blinding effect on the reflection of the man behind that "R" studded brooch. :-(

Is Big Pharma Saving The LIves Of The Poor?
thinkingblue
by thinkingblue  7-13-2008    1
I have often commented on the greed of Big Pharma. But, came across this article which tells a story of how a Dr. Curtis, an anthropologist , living in African, wanted to save lives by trying to change habits that induce disease to routines of prevention. As in, washing hands after each toilet use. Easier said than done because an often unconscious pattern of behavior acquired through frequent repetition is what makes you, you. So how can an entity go about changing unconscious unhealthy responses into ones that can save lives? Well, by seeking the help of the very industries that have for years spent billions of cash on manipulating the public and convincing them they cannot live without their products, in other words, changing habits. Makes sense, Big Pharma is good at it and perhaps, indirectly, all they have learned to part us from our $$$ can now be of benefit to those who are dying simply because of bad habits.

With the wars suicide rates (Post-War Suicides May Exceed Combat Deaths) this war hasn't ended for countless troops who are back home. For many years to come, even if the next President can bring em all home (I'm not talking about McCain-McSame) many will suffer and die on their own turf. In that respect the Iraq war will never end, not for many years to come when there will be no one left on Earth who will remember this criminal war. And that is as sad as the war itself.  Now every minute you Spend on youtube, you will be feeding the Big Brother machine the Bush admin. has robustly doctored until BB became a strong, very potent bouncing baby for the neocon belief system. Their rule-of-thumb on freedom is "We Will Tell Them They Are Free... FREE TO DO WHAT THEY ARE TOLD TO DO OR ELSE"! All their doings has been leading up to this day... The beginning of the end of Lincoln's eloquent words used during his Gettysburg Address that afternoon of Thurs., November 19, 1863 "government of the people, by the people, for the people, shall not perish from the earth." In just over two minutes, Lincoln enforced the principles of human equality supported by the Declaration of Independence and redefined the Civil War as a struggle not merely for the Union, but as "a new birth of freedom" Hmmm, I wonder what President Lincoln would say about all the shredding of same Declaration by 8 years of Neocon Rule. I'm sure he would be deeply saddened, for sure.

Not with, melt down of habeas corpus. Not with, stripping a woman of her right to choose what's best for her body & circumstances. Not with, laws, claiming Voter Id's before one can vote. Not with, reducing punitive damages to large corp. who will become more reckless not having to face large losses to their beloved capital. Not with, dismantling gun-control laws putting all at risk of being murdered by the disgruntled, the disturbed who should never possess lethal weapons. It's almost that way now except for the conservative Kennedy who in his declining years of life has turned into a philosopher, that is a person who seeks truth by thinking! But he is the exception, not the rule. The other justices vote along the lines of WHATEVER THE HELL THEIR KING TELLS THEM TO VOTE. Now is this fair to the people in a democracy... HELL NO! Sick acts do occur that we’d like to cure. But with brains, one size doesn’t fit all. Many take a beating before maturity, so we wind up with depraved sins by sickos. If laws put all sickos to death there would have to be many death rows. Killing doesn’t stop such acts and sets an example that murder is an answer. Life without parole is cost effective. It takes alota $$ before a slaying occurs, life sentences are cheaper. (to those who tout PRISONS COST US TAXPAYERS MUCH MOOLAH, KILL THE BUMS!) Capital punishment is a fact in this brutal society and the judges must decide what it's slated for. It should only be for homicide. If it starts to pertain to other crimes, we slide backwards and kids will hang for stealing apples. Their legs must be weighted cause small bodies are too light to choke a life away. :-(

Perhaps, he is banking on another 9/11 or something to shock Americans into the same fear-hold Karl Rove and the rest of the neocon manipulators had on the people...You know that PNAC group (which has since shut down their site...hmmm I wonder why, does rats overboard mean anything?) But, the PNAC in order to unleash their foreign/military campaigns needed a catalyzing event like "a new Pearl Harbor". (neocon quote) 9/11 rode to their rescue. Now they were able to Pied Piper all the little frightened children into the black hole of hell. But their utopian plan did not work out so well. Maybe they need another Pearl Harbor because it seems the little children have lost some of their fear and may need a booster shot. How much more can we take? Obama or Anyone But McBush!

So even though I disagreed with him on many issues, I saw in him somebody who genuinely wanted to bring about reform and somebody with a real independence streak. So it was really sad for me to see him be willing to sell his soul to become president of the United States. And the fact that he had told me at a dinner in 2000 in the presence of other people, who have corroborated, it seems, that he did not vote for George Bush, is really a perfect indication of who John McCain was in 2000 and why so many people, including so many in the media, fell in love with him.  The Supreme Court - According to Bush and his merry band of neoconservatives the only function of this Court should be TO DO AS THEY TELL IT TO DO. Well the 4 lackeys' did just that, 2 of which he appointed himself, the others, one his Daddy's choice and the other (he wished he was his daddy) Reagan's. Good ole Reagan appointed Anthony Scalia, (Scalia on capital punishment: "Death is no big deal" {unless of course it's his or his loved ones} - Hypocrisy to the highest degree!) did Bush's bidding just like a good little justice was suppose to do. But the tie breaker was Kennedy (Justice Anthony Kennedy acknowledged the terrorism threat the country faces — the administration's justification for the detentions — but he declared, "THE LAWS AND THE CONSTITUTION ARE DESIGNED TO SURVIVE AND REMAIN IN FORCE, IN EXTRAORDINARY TIMES!") Thank all that is good that Reagan slipped up on this nomination, when he nominated a THINKER to the Supreme Court. Will wonders never cease? thinkingblue

But, instead will do everything in its power to break an industry (one that has mostly helped people live a better life) they deem unlawful. Between 1978 and 1997, 35 states and the District of Columbia passed legislation recognizing marijuana's medicinal value. Still the goofballs in the Whitehouse and Congress demand that these states have no autonomy when it comes to this natural drug from a plant. I don't know, it just seems preposterous to me.  Liz Trotta, may think assassination is funny but most people DO NOT! Most people, are appalled that we live in a world where people are shot, maimed, blown up or mutilated because they are trying to create a better place for mankind. Our country has gone through some grievous times with the assassination of a president, the shooting of another president, the murder of a man of peace who's passion was to see that all people get what the constitution awards, life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness, and a bullet to the head of a man campaigning for the highest position of the land while still grieving over his own brother's murder. We still haven't completely healed from all the wanton destruction this country has encountered. For someone to go on the airwaves, the people's airwaves and joke about execution type slayings is loathsome to no end.  O'Reilly, Hillary Clinton, Morning Joe, Carton Tucker and John McCain are the Boogie Woogie Bugle Boys of Right-wing TV. Yes, Hillary Clinton is included in this group. I'll bet she wishes she was on the GOP ticket... At least she acts that way, too often. I wonder if she will do a Joe Lieberman and switch to the Independent Party... I wonder?

At least we can all hope it is. I just finished another youtube project of talking heads who try to lead us down a path of gloom, a path of NOT IN OUR INTEREST. If you care to view it you can find it here. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mL4HwogMIOU
