There are many articles, news items and whatever tickles your fancy, that will give you information about how biofuels such as corn, are creating (or not creating) a hunger crisis. It's enough to make a grown man or woman cry. I know I've cried more than once on seeing hungry human beings filmed in all their emaciation ... (I could never figure out... if they can get cameras out there to these poor folks why the hell can't they get food to them??... but that's just an idiosyncrasy of mine.) POPSTop 10 Crimes Against Your Body When I opened this article, I thought it was going to be one of those same ole, same ole's, about smoking, drinking, overeating and unsafe sex, all the nasty, enjoyable habits we've grown to love. I was surprised to see it was about the rush to improve one's appearance by seeking out deadly cosmetic surgeries of sort. This is another one of those by-products from the advertisement industry who use "beautiful people" to sell the crap we buy... Subconscious messages are planted during these many ads, shoved in our faces, via magazines, newspapers, TV and any media we may tap into, to get entertained or informed. These ads, on a subconscious level make us feel ugly and useless because we don't resemble the actors or models who seem to enjoy their lives so much better than we. So what does one do to join the "beautiful people" crowd? They go under the knife! POPSTHE ALMIGHTY SUPREME COURT (fiction) (A thinkingblue personal opinion) When Gore lost the ability to have a recount in 2000 and the Supreme Court awarded the presidency to George W Bush, I knew exactly what was going to happen within this holiest of Courts. I knew, the great headway that was made to lessen human suffering would probably be overturned and that future supreme decisions would be handled by the judges, W. Bush would get to nominate to give the conservative ideology a court majority. It seems this de ja vu I felt was right on target. It didn't take a rocket scientist to figure this out! POPSUNBEARABLE PAIN and still it's illegal I have stated before that I like youtube but sometimes the comments are so ludicrous that I can't believe I share a world with so many dunderheads. This video is a very short story of a woman in so much pain she probably would die if she could. Her only relief comes from medical marijuana and she is made to feel guilty about her relief because our idiotic lawmakers pander to the ignorant and keep archaic laws on the book that punish the innocent. POPSFlorida, No Champion Of Education! The good news is, Fla. is now allowed to use the word EVOLUTION to describe an educational study in science. The bad news is, the people, the ones with their heads forever stuck in a book of ancient writings, got their clueless compromise. They made the somewhat backwards educational system of Fla. (which they themselves are mostly responsible for) a bit more regressive by not allowing Evolution to stand alone.
