An Egregious Tragedy Has Taken Place
thinkingblue

... into its clutches. It didn't happen to my child but it did, to someone who lived in my community. His name was Adam Walsh and he was a year younger than my own. The Walsh's horrible story, could have been mine. I, many times frequented the same place as Adam and his mom and I forever shuddered to think it my child who was cut from the herd and open to attack. We as a society should warn our children and ourselves that we are but one or two seconds from something so heinous that our lives would never recover. Whenever our children leave the safety of our sight, we should tell them, "Never allow a stranger to talk lies, in order to hurt you. Scream, cry, run and fight if need be, not to be taken by anyone.” Every child, every young person who falls victim to the savages amongst us, must be a reminder that we live in a jungle of predators but worse, these fiends look like us, so we have to be even more vigilant than jungle prey.

This isn't about Labor Day It's About Cute and Nasty Starlings

I love birds. Especially since moving to a rural area where you can witness firsthand, these wild creatures going about their daily tasks of survival. And they are fastidious as well as genius at endurance (we should be so canny). So when I see an article about birds I can't help but open it up to a read. As much as I enjoy these darlings who share Earth with us, there are people who have quite opposite feelings. Actually, they hate the little buggers. How can this be? Well it all boils down to money again... So much of this world's tribulations can be traced back to the almighty buck. It seems these sweet little birds can do damage to industry. Yikes, these tiny beasts are in for it now. So little starling you've been targeted. But this is one enemy of Private Enterprise that won't go down easy. I know there'll be those who will retort my adoration for these animals by telling me I'm nuts because they’re vermin and cause disease. I have a comeback on THEY CAUSE DISEASE, SO DO WE BUB!

A LITTLE INSIGHT ON CROWS FROM NPR

This is unbelievable. Anyone who thinks human beings are above all the other Earthly animals will need to rethink that notion. One thing for sure, the Evolutionary Process of other animals is catching up to us.

Snowball The Dancing Cockatoo (Scary)

by thinkingblue  6-2-2009    4
This cockatoo is something else. He dances to the rhythm of the beat like any well coordinated human being with the talent of dance. Watching this bird get down makes you wonder what is going on in that tiny little brain of his. There definitely is someone home. Scientist are baffled by this... see more at this site: http://www.npr.org/templates/story/story.php?storyId=103629651&sc=emaf and http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/science/nature/8027379.stm original video on Youtube below: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GYMBIGTteWA

MISSING LINK FOUND.

This is some remarkable news. I'm sure it will be clipmarked excessively. Imagine scientists' delight in discovering such a find. It makes you wish you were a scientist. Here is more from the article: A team of amateur fossil hunters discovered the near-perfect remains inside a mile-wide crater outside of Frankfurt in 1983. Though the pit has been a bountiful source of other fossils, the inexperienced archeologists didn't realize the value of their find. Years later, the University of Oslo bought the 95%-intact fossil, and Hurum studied it in secret for two years. His colleague, Jens Franzen, hailed the discovery as "the eighth wonder of the world." "We're not dealing with our grand, grand, grandmother, but perhaps with our grand, grand, grand aunt," Franzen said. A History Channel film on the discovery will air next week. http://www.nydailynews.com/topics/The+History+Channel or on Youtube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X4NtmZjR3_c

From Fighters to Family Pets?

Here's a youtube video showing the length some people will go, in order to save abused fighting dogs; Even pit-bulls whose jaws can rip your throat out. I like dogs and feel very sad for the exploited ones but this is a step further than I am willing to go to save these poor creatures of instinct (inborn pattern of behavior that is characteristic of a species and is often a response to specific environmental stimuli). Can you imagine allowing a fighting pit-bull, (such as the ones in the video) around your child...? I hope people with children or anyone vulnerable under their care would never adopt a dog like this... It's scary and it's crazy, in my opinion. Maybe not:-? PIT-BULL (SLANG) Marked by or exhibiting great aggression, ruthlessness, and often bitterness: “Pit-bull conservatives harbor the suspicion that their mission has been usurped by unbelievers” (James Wolcott). More about pit-bull breeds here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pit_bull
