LET'S CALL THE WHOLE THING OFF! More Bush Administration's HANDIWORK, to make you Sick, REALLY SICK! Under pressure in 2003 and 2004, the White House agreed to dilute record-keeping proposals by FDA safety experts. "If the FDA had been given the resources and authority years ago that it asked for to solve these kinds of problems, I think we would have solved this already," said W. Hubbard, a former FDA associate commissioner. Tommy Thompson, who was health secretary during the industry's lobbying campaign, acknowledged that a more robust food-tracking system — opposed by business groups as too expensive — could have helped stem the current illnesses More Here: http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20080725/ap_on_go_ca_st_pe/salmonella_lobbying --- Hey Folks, we're sitting ducks to Big Business desires... Thanks Cenk, I needed that pick-me-up. Sorry McCain, if the shoe fits... Wear It! ;-) ---- (If the shoe fits, wear it) If something belongs or pertains to you, accept it. This proverb first appeared as “if the cap fits,” which may have referred to a fool’s cap. The later version has become more common and is associated with the glass slipper in the fairy tale, “Cinderella.”

The Prosecution Of George W Bush for Murder

by thinkingblue  7-22-2008    1
When I first saw Vincent Bugliosi, talk about his book "The Prosecution Of George W Bush for Murder", I was blown away. I thought, he's not just another crackpot trying to sell a crackpot book, he is serious. Bush lied us into an illegal war and thus far, nothing, but words has happened to him and his crew. Is this reality? A reality that allows Bush to go scot-free for so many crimes. With no one not one group to point a finger and demand he pay for his misdeeds. Without a doubt, Bush, appears to be one who IS above the law. Not only is he above the law, he gets help to get away with his transgression. (namely: the FISA vote).... We are, most of us anyway, holding our breaths to see this sad excuse for a man leave the highest office, once and for all. But is that enough? I hope Bugliosi, one of the greatest prosecutors of our time, will not rest until he sees justice served upon George W. Bush. Also watch, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HlISseXFjng

Just to see how breakneck fast it would go from computer to computer. Then I’ll sit back and listen to the, collective shouts of the 'Uninformed" yelling, "I TOLD YOU SO, I KNEW OBAMA WAS A DIRTY WHATCHAMACALLIT!" We sure are a nation of nincompoops (Well, too many, anyhow.). It's scary, that countless "informationally challenged" will vote for a USA president, based on rumors and negative hearsay of the opposition. What's so stressful, is that not only they, will live with the consequences but the rest of us who have half a brain will also have to live with their boneheaded mindsets.  Obama Fades? I can't speak for anyone else but for me his glow has dimmed, since he started wearing that flag lapel pin. While living through years of the worst president the US has had at the helm, I could identify the enemy or the Bush supporters by their Bush/Neocon fraternity pins. And I could direct my anger even before the Bushy sycophants opened their bombastic collective rhetorical pie-holes and blather the some ole, same ole. So the flag label pin had become a symbol of pretentious superciliousness to me. Of course, with Obama pandering to the "R's" and the "I's" who voted for Dubya and helped ruin our country and make us a laughing stock all over the world (Remember the headline from the UK’s Daily Mirror: How Can 1,230,065 People Be So Dumb?) may have a little to do with the Obama Fade From Grace. But that PIN is all I see when this eloquent orator takes center stage and its glare has a blinding effect on the reflection of the man behind that "R" studded brooch. :-(

For many years to come, even if the next President can bring em all home (I'm not talking about McCain-McSame) many will suffer and die on their own turf.  Now every minute you Spend on youtube, you will be feeding the Big Brother machine the Bush admin. has robustly doctored until BB became a strong, very potent bouncing baby for the neocon belief system. Their rule-of-thumb on freedom is "We Will Tell Them They Are Free... FREE TO DO WHAT THEY ARE TOLD TO DO OR ELSE"! All their doings has been leading up to this day... The beginning of the end of Lincoln's eloquent words used during his Gettysburg Address that afternoon of Thurs., November 19, 1863 "government of the people, by the people, for the people, shall not perish from the earth." In just over two minutes, Lincoln enforced the principles of human equality supported by the Declaration of Independence and redefined the Civil War as a struggle not merely for the Union, but as "a new birth of freedom" Hmmm, I wonder what President Lincoln would say about all the shredding of same Declaration by 8 years of Neocon Rule. I'm sure he would be deeply saddened, for sure.

It's almost that way now except for the conservative Kennedy who in his declining years of life has turned into a philosopher, that is a person who seeks truth by thinking! But he is the exception, not the rule. The other justices vote along the lines of WHATEVER THE HELL THEIR KING TELLS THEM TO VOTE. Now is this fair to the people in a democracy... HELL NO!  If it were up to the R party, half of Amer. would be on death row. I exaggerate but you have to ask...what’s wrong with these people? They can't see society for the people. Sick acts do occur that we’d like to cure. But with brains, one size doesn’t fit all. Many take a beating before maturity, so we wind up with depraved sins by sickos. If laws put all sickos to death there would have to be many death rows. Killing doesn’t stop such acts and sets an example that murder is an answer. Life without parole is cost effective. It takes alota $$ before a slaying occurs, life sentences are cheaper. (to those who tout PRISONS COST US TAXPAYERS MUCH MOOLAH, KILL THE BUMS!) Capital punishment is a fact in this brutal society and the judges must decide what it's slated for. It should only be for homicide. If it starts to pertain to other crimes, we slide backwards and kids will hang for stealing apples. Their legs must be weighted cause small bodies are too light to choke a life away. :-(

Perhaps, he is banking on another 9/11 or something to shock Americans into the same fear-hold Karl Rove and the rest of the neocon manipulators had on the people...You know that PNAC group (which has since shut down their site...hmmm I wonder why, does rats overboard mean anything?) But, the PNAC in order to unleash their foreign/military campaigns needed a catalyzing event like "a new Pearl Harbor". (neocon quote) 9/11 rode to their rescue. Now they were able to Pied Piper all the little frightened children into the black hole of hell. But their utopian plan did not work out so well. Maybe they need another Pearl Harbor because it seems the little children have lost some of their fear and may need a booster shot. How much more can we take? Obama or Anyone But McBush!

ARIANNA HUFFINGTON Well, first of all, I was not a supporter in that I was planning to vote for him, but I was an admirer of McCain. I considered him a real leader. So even though I disagreed with him on many issues, I saw in him somebody who genuinely wanted to bring about reform and somebody with a real independence streak. So it was really sad for me to see him be willing to sell his soul to become president of the United States. And the fact that he had told me at a dinner in 2000 in the presence of other people, who have corroborated, it seems, that he did not vote for George Bush, is really a perfect indication of who John McCain was in 2000 and why so many people, including so many in the media, fell in love with him.  The Supreme Court - According to Bush and his merry band of neoconservatives the only function of this Court should be TO DO AS THEY TELL IT TO DO. Well the 4 lackeys' did just that, 2 of which he appointed himself, the others, one his Daddy's choice and the other (he wished he was his daddy) Reagan's. Good ole Reagan appointed Anthony Scalia, (Scalia on capital punishment: "Death is no big deal" {unless of course it's his or his loved ones} - Hypocrisy to the highest degree!) did Bush's bidding just like a good little justice was suppose to do. But the tie breaker was Kennedy (Justice Anthony Kennedy acknowledged the terrorism threat the country faces — the administration's justification for the detentions — but he declared, "THE LAWS AND THE CONSTITUTION ARE DESIGNED TO SURVIVE AND REMAIN IN FORCE, IN EXTRAORDINARY TIMES!") Thank all that is good that Reagan slipped up on this nomination, when he nominated a THINKER to the Supreme Court. Will wonders never cease? thinkingblue

The PNAC had hoped for a new Pearl Harbor and voilà, that is what they got. When the whole country and part of the world was mourning our loss, these criminals were busy planning their next move to prove how smart they were. Nothing mattered to them except to realize their pipedream. Not lives, money nor respect was of value to them. 'Show the world that only we know what's good for it! Whip the juvenile occupants of Earth into shape!' Now, one of the cabal members has written a book exposing the blackguards for what they are. Only he forgets he was once a member. He may be forgiven if he doesn't profit from his straightforwardness which comes a bit too late to be of any use to those who have suffered and are still suffering.  The Bush/Cheney Neocons would have loved patterning the USA after the repressive government of Uzbekistan but thanks to our constitution (a bit tattered from the last 8 years) for not allowing them this fantasy. With all their criminal efforts they have rendered America as the Pot and Uzbekistan the Kettle. The charred blackness which is on the Pot; doesn't see the black on himself and calls the kettle black! Excerpted From Article: But this is Uzbekistan, a repressive country where laws mean little, rights are relative and torture is endemic... After criticism from Wash., Uzbekistan ejected the U S from a military base that was supplying the war effort in Afghanistan. How much influence should the US try to exercise — if any at all — over another country’s behavior? And will that country be receptive, given the abuse, indefinite detentions and closed tribunals that have been part of the United States’ record in recent years?

How much longer must this illegal, extortionate war in Iraq go on? There has been so much damage caused by this war ranging from the loss of influence to the United States of America, around the world, to the endless casualties of Iraqi citizens. Totals (Especially from the Pro-war, Pro-neocons) are estimated at 84,050 to 91,713 but these figures, although quite shocking, are not the true estimate. A study in 2006 assesses the loss of life at over 655,000 Iraqis or more than 500 people a day (A report, which of course, President Bush does not consider credible.). That would mean, every single family most likely, has suffered a loss in this war. Natural disasters that are inundating the news today, such as in Myanmar, . And China's death toll from last week’s earthquake ... Alarming numbers but still dwarfed by the Iraqi totals.

(E J Dionee writes about the argument of - if everybody were carrying weapons, someone would have taken out the murderer and all would have been fine...This is a stupid argument, driven by the stupid politics of gun control in the U.S.. When Richard Reid showed that nasty things could be done with shoes on airplanes, airport security started examining shoes. If we can act pragmatically in the skies, why can't we be equally practical here on the ground?) The questions that should be asked is... Why is America so violent, are guns to blame? or How many more mass murders involving guns will it take?

WAR ON WAR music video contest
thinkingblue
by thinkingblue  5-15-2008
This video was my entry into a contest by Sam Harris. He wrote a powerful song with a strong message against war. The USA government is always declaring war on something i.e. War on drugs, war on terrorism, war on poverty... How about a war on war? Says, Sam Harris... You can view link... http://www.youtube.com/groups_videos?name=waronwar Contest here: http://www.samharris.com/waronwar/ thinkingblue.blogspot.com --- A SPECIAL COMMENT FROM THETHINKINGBLUE CHANNEL Some of the nasty comments on thethinkingblue channel illustrate how sad we Americans are as a people. There is so much ignorant hatred bristling, that a complete coming together as one commonality is almost impossible. Barack Obama is our only hope. He can soothe the pain of hatred and rage by not embracing it like so many other political bodies have (yes even Hillary Clinton stooped so low) and he will demonstrate to us, through example that we really can come together as one. YES WE CAN! thinkingblue.blogspot

Hate Limbaugh or Limbaugh's hate!
thinkingblue
by thinkingblue  5-13-2008
Dangerous or Laughable? (I chose both but the former rather than the latter is more direct... One Dangerous Dude!) ~~~~~~~ It was no surprise that Limbaugh would call for riots at the Democratic National Convention in Denver to embarrass the Democrats. Limbaugh -- and his fellow purveyors of hate on the airwaves -- are dangerous demagogues whom pro-democracy Americans too easily dismiss as poltroonish shills for the entrenched powers. It's a regular staple of the millionaire right-wing echo chamber to use the explicit or implicit language of violence. In fact, the entire "frame" of everyone from Sean Hannity to Bill O'Reilly to Rush Limbaugh is to convince their listeners that people who don't agree with these "pundits of patriotism" are the enemy and dangerous to America.
