POPSTypewriter Art This is an amazing story of a man born with spastic cerebral palsy. Though disabled in many ways, he taught himself to create detailed pictures using one finger on a typewriter that resembled pencil or charcoal drawings. Another tribute to the indomitable human spirit.

POPSThe Real Reason for SSN--per Colin Powell According to an obvious "slip" made by Colin Powell on Fox News Sunday, 06/17/01, the real reason (or benefit) of our SSN is that it allows the government "to MONITOR, TRACK DOWN and CAPTURE an American citizen." Doesn't it give you a warm feeling to know that your U.S. Secretary of State felt that way about U.S. citizens?

POPSW.H.O. Ranks U.S. 37th in Health Care Does it make you feel "proud to be an American" when the world's wealthiest country, the U.S., ranks behind little countries like Dominica and Costa Rica in healthcare? Is that the kind of country we want to leave our kids and grandkids? We spend more money on healthcare than any other country, but our dollars only buy us 37th place worldwide? Something's dramatically wrong with that picture. Call it GREED! Maybe it's time everyone went to see Michael Moore's "Sicko" movie when it opens on June 29th.

POPSThe FDA Has Blood on its Hands Dr. Ron Paul (M.D.) has been a champion of our health rights (among many things) for many years. He keeps trying to help force the FDA to do its job--protecting the health of Americans--instead of what it normally does--protecting the profits of Big Pharma, at the expense of American lives. They approve drugs known to cause health problems and try to invalidate and prohibit natural remedies known to benefit health. The majority of the FDA's budget comes from Big Pharma. Is it any wonder then that the FDA's decisions aren't about health; they're about protecting Big Pharma's cash cows? That's why they're nearly always in bed with them, and not protecting our health. Not in Our Name any more!

POPSCheney Ordered Military Stand Down on 9/11, Former Transp. Secretary Norman Mineta Confirms
"The idea that "the order still stands" matches up with a change in NORAD and Pentagon orders-- issued on June 1, 2001, only months before 9/11. The document revoked the default standing orders to shoot down errant or hijacked aircraft and instructed them instead to stand down until they were given orders by the President, Vice President or Secretary of Defense." So, the President, Vice President or Secretary of Defense could have given an order to shoot down the hijacked planes, to protect America, but they failed to do so. Doesn't that make you wonder why? Does the presence of Vice President Dick Cheney's Wife and other staff members in the secure Presidential Emergency Operations Center bunker before 9:25 A.M. on 9/11/01 indicate that the VP knew that something extraordinary and dangerous was going to be happening that morning and that they needed to be in a secure place? "Inquiring minds want to know."

POPSHow to Give Up “Bad Days” Forever--Essay You don't have to "settle" for "bad days". They're not something that happens to you over which you have no control. You have absolute control; you're probably just not using it to your advantage. Read this essay to find out how you can do something about "bad days", every time, if you so choose. It's always your choice, to keep them or let them go. Don't put up with "bad days" any more. Take charge of them, instead of letting them take charge of you. You CAN do it! Click the link to go to my blog for the entire essay. You can even listen as I narrate it for you, if you're busy doing something else. Do it now, or at least bookmark the date, 05/27/2007.
