POPSUS Financial System -- What comes next? *sigh* Naturally, I'm one of those guys described in that last paragraph.... _However_, I do not go along with the statements that this is as bad as 1929. I think we're looking at the mid-late 70s again -- and a bunch of lovely new government regulations intended to clean up the mess left from the last round of government regulations....

POPSSex and Lies -- Obama's K-12 Sex Ed bill Obama’s explanation for his vote has been accepted by nearly all commentators. And perhaps that is indeed why he voted for Senate Bill 99, although we don’t know for sure. But we do know that the bill itself was much more than that. The fact is, the bill’s intention was to mandate that issues like contraception and the prevention of sexually-transmitted diseases be included in sex-education classes for children before the sixth grade, and as early as kindergarten. Obama’s defenders may howl, but the bill is what it is.

POPSWhat kind of Experience? (The quote is from a comment on that site, not an article) Barack has been in office three years, and running for President for two of those. Palin has been Governor, _actively_ for two years, and has other experience before that. It's kind of funny the way this is turning into a race between Obama and Palin. But then, between Obama and McCain, experience isn't something the media wants to talk about.

POPSTrue Socialism...? I found it here: http://smallestminority.blogspot.com/2008/09/quote-of-day_10.html ..where the blogger states (correctly), "Thus, in one paragraph Von Mises explains why 'true socialism' has apparently never been tried."

POPSThe blindness of the music industry He thinks that his customers have too much sympathy for his customers???? Does he think we should be more sympathetic to _him_ instead? He would love nothing more than to charge you every time you listen toa song -- and is surprised that "the little people" are, literally, not buying it.

POPSWhy I get along with engineers I'm more on the "computer logic" end of things, but I totally understand this mindset. I think the greatest form of wisdom is being aware of what you _don't_ know.
