POPSDalton McGuinty Liberals Dalton McGuinty Liberals won a majority vote in today's election. Much can be said about politics, especially the latest Canadian politics. But, I happened to have voted for someone other than McGuinty at the local election poll. Now I know why I hate politics as much as I hate horse races, although we will be keeping the present 'first past the post' electoral system. Some things do change, and some things don't.

POPSChristianity's Image Problem
Christianity has problems with it's image. Too political, homophobic, and definitely self-righteous attitudes show up when Christians are questioned in depth. Why is it that the standard pillar of civilization has come under fire so heavily in modern times? Perhaps not all of Christianity is that bad, but bad enough to raise the ire of many people. Denominations of Christianity are perhaps as confusing as the standards of lifestyle and politics. I was baptized after birth, and supposedly I am a Christian. Yet, my parents bowed out of their church (The United Church) because of an argument over tithes. Since then, I have fallen away from any church affiliations. Personally, I have disagreements over a number of things that hold contention. I am not so wrong in what I believe, only that it flies in the wind of Christian values. Hm. I really don't want to be a sinner, yet the contentions are significant enough to keep me away from attending any church. Am I so wrong in my way

POPSA Muslim Astronaut's Dilemma: Some of the more stupid things done in the name of religion are on a growing list. Discrimination results from distinctions of religion, politics, race, gender, and a whole bunch more. When will politics and religion concede inhuman values that form the basis of dissent and war? When will man's inhumanity to man end when all are EQUAL before God? What is EQUAL?
