POPSSite Building: system's complaint of too large photos
Thoughts from a User: The only option given is to "Go Back And Edit". My score was a 3 out of 5...which most people would consider not great, but acceptable enough that it should be allowed to go through but with a warning. That option doesn't exist. Also, there was no tool to reduce image quality (just image size via crop and sizing). Does that mean I have to go back to my computer and use Picasso or something to further convert my images (reducing their actual KB size) before I can post, or is there a way to do it within this program? No, I don't see a way to do it in the program. P.S. I've only added 3 images to this page. Seems limited when I have 15 KB images. Conclusion: I tried cutting back to 2 images & that didn't work. So I went back to my original, source images and converted them to smaller file sizes. The Site Builder has now accepted them. NOTE TO GOTAMOBI: Do we need to provide a list of short tips at the beginning? Sort of a "quick tips before you get started?" or

POPSTrying to Add Photos In Site Builder
User Observation: When I try to add a photo in the Home Pg Header, it won't add it. Later, in a different page, I got an error message saying my photos couldn't have a file name with a space in them. But on the Home Page, I received no message. Instead, it just wouldn't add the image. Big negative - this requires me to rename all of the photos I wanted to include in my mobi site. Then once I tried to upload it, it only grabbed the upper left sliver of the photo. The tool also did not show me the crop tool or anything else. The photo swamped the working window, so my only option was to close the photo insert window. When I did, it showed that the photo had not been inserted into the site as requested. It now appears that I have to resize all my photos first as well, but I also can't tell to what dimensions. NOTE TO GOTAMOBI: Image function seems to work a bit inconsistently and isn't as user-friendly as I would have hoped. Photos require more pre-prep outside the function of the tool.

POPSSite Building: Testing Page for Platform User Observation: Site has been hung up on testing before loading my content for about 20 minutes.. When I refreshed/closed, I lost all the content & formatting I'd already completed on that page and had to start from scratch. Very frustrating. NOTE TO GOTAMOBI: Damien & HL talked a bit about this. The solution is to refresh the page, but there is no place to jump to Help or provide additional instructions within this process, as it's off GotAmobi's domain. We need to monitor this as a quality control issue & hold India accountable for the frequency of error readings since they don't have support or a "click"solution built into the process.

POPSBuilding a Site: Editing & Formatting
User Observation: Once I got a portion of text to underline in a section, I couldn't get it to turn off. I'd originally selected the entire area and hit the underline button. No function seems to turn it off. >>>Okay, ultimately I got the "normal formatting" (or whatever it's called) button to work, but it was not dependable. (As were a number of the text feature functions. I had to click on them repeatedly.) Also, I found it irritating that the text color select tool wouldn't just stay open. Every time I actually applied color to text, it would close. So when I wanted to apply it to another section, I had to wait for th color chart to open again. Also, I couldn't select multiple sections throughout the copy (of non-adjoining text) to apply the same treatment (like bold and color all the first lines blue). Some of the common features one comes to expect in word processing functions & found in many apps these days aren't available. NOTE TO GOTAMOBI: I realize this is out of our hands &

POPSSite Building: Home Page Probably not our deal but... I noticed you can complete a line longer in the open field than will allow to preview on the screen. I don't know how that translates to the finished website. Example: I typed in The Logan Family but but the "y" dropped off on the preview. I wouldn't have guessed I was over the character limit & probably would have missed it in my own proofing. I'm a bit concerned we might get people making a lot of errors on their sites they'll have to go and re-edit (= frustration!).

POPSSite Builder Sign Up Process Form allowed me to enter an insufficient number of numerals in the mobile phone number field. I also was allowed to use a different first name than when I originally registered with GotAmobi.

POPSI've Logged Out without Creating A Site User Observation: Now I've logged back in again to create my site. But the page I'm returned to just takes me back to the option to go through the sign up process again for the Site Builder...which I've already done. There's no option for me to just get started building a site.

POPS2nd Registration - for Site Builder rather than GotAmobi This process was willing to accept a completely different First Name and User Name than what I'd originally registered with in order to re-register with the Site Builder. That may be a bug we want to work out for later generations. It also allowed me to enter numerals in the name field. This reduces the value ($$$) of our contact database. As an aside, I think we need to tell people the the user name has to be 6 characters long. It also becomes confusing to the user later on about GotAmobi user name, your name, and differing passwords for GotAmobi versus SiteBuilder. It may be useful to add some instruction, or have people set it up all as one. We might need to talk about this in more detail, as I know there are programming complexities behind why it is the way it is. I think we need a more user friendly front -whether through better communication or an actual change in the process.

POPS2nd Confirmation Registration Pop Up notification for incomplete information didn't tell me which field. I'd left Last Name blank, but the notice was only a generic "Please Provide All Requisite Details" I also completed a number of other things in error. We'll see if it calls them out.

POPSLanding Page: What's the Next Step? User Observations: Okay, I've signed up for GotAmobi, but now I can't figure out which is my next step. The upper right corner suggests that I enter the user name & password I selected at registration and hit GO to enter my account. When I read the first line of copy (since I'm bothering to read it, but others may not), I think - yes, I have to, because you specifically ask me to log in again. But, then you also say to use the link below which also offers the Site Builder, which is really what I want to do anyway. NOTE TO GOTAMOBI: We should track stats to see how many people just hit GO in the header vs. how many people read the body copy and go to the link. This page may need to be modified.

POPSLanding Zone: 1st Log-In as a New Registrant
User Observations: The phrase in the copy "make sure to check your email for your special password" feels confusing to me as a user because I think I just chose my own password. Now it sounds like you're assigning me and additional or a separate one? I'll go ahead and use the one I chose to log in and see what happened, rather than checking my email....Okay, I could log in with my own. What's the other one for? Later on through trial and error I discover (only when other things don't work) the password you emailed me is different from mine & it's the one I need in order to use Site Builder. Okay...but honestly still wondering why mine wasn't good enough & now I have to memorize another one. (BTW, when I log into My Account and reset my password, which one am I resetting? Guessing just the general GotAmobi one. This is starting to feel complicated or convoluted!) NOTE TO GOTAMOBI: As long as we must stick with this dual password setup (which, by the way, is now the equivalent of 3 some

POPSSign Up Confirmation Idea for Phase II: I suggest we include 2 things on this page. (1) A summary of the member's sign up info - user name, site, password, contact email, etc. with a suggestion they print it for their records. (2) A checkbox offering to send them an email with highlights of what GotAmobi tools can do, from video and photo postings, to advertising and blogs. (This follow up email should then include a newsletter sign up.)

POPSHome: Audience-Specific Appeals This is great, except that they link to the same pitch. We probably don't need to resolve it for this round, but the copy needs to be modified for each with example pages of mobi sites specific to each audience for each page when you follow the link.

POPSHeader / Right Side
I would use this invaluable real-estate as a call-to-action to get people to sign-up, and instead make the paragraph description this links to ("GotAmobi offers a place where users can create and launch their mobile-ready site in minutes. It is the ONLY all-mobile site community to date, and your one stop provider for all your mobile content.") a mouse over on a lead-in header or subhead "What's GotAmobi?" Instead, use the real estate as a major graphics area for a bold draw and a clear entry point for the eye...aka "the big red button" or "throwing the big red switch." Use a catchy headline like "I gota get a GotAmobi! Sign me up for FREE" or the added trademark in the works "GetA" with "GetA GotAmobi NOW!" It should be simple, graphic (but careful to compliment rather than complete with the logo) and not too wordy. It should be the clear space on the page everyone goes to / returns to when they've decided they want to sign up. This same graphic image can then be used on ensuin

POPSHome Page - Core Front Door (Clip did not retain layout.) No clear entry point visually beyond logo. Too many competing elements without a direct call-to-action headline. Wonder if we might lose some people because they don't know where to go next.
