POPSFederal Typists and the best line of the article... "But what about the legions of American satirists about to be laid off because fellows like Pinsky are writing stuff like this for real?"

POPSNow they admit it We screamed, we yelled, we pointed it out time and time again, the bias in the MSM is disgusting. This is the second post mortem, that I know of, that they major players in the media have had and during both the consensus has been that the bias was overwhelming. With Obama backing out of public financing so that he could out spend McCain 5 to one and the entire MSM apparatus on his side it is amazing the election was as close as it was.

POPS4 important issues ignored by the media No Democrat can ever again dare to defend a system destroyed by Obama. All future worries about the dangers of big money and big politics will fall on deaf ears. Imagine the reaction of the New York Times or the Washington Post had John McCain renounced his promise to participate in public campaign financing, proceeded instead to amass $600 million and outraise the publicly financed Barack Obama four-to-one, and begun airing special 30-minute unanswered infomercials during the last week of the campaign.

POPSThanks MSM or Olbermann does us a solid By the end of the week, after Palin's tour de force in St. Paul, the liberal media were so befuddled that they were reduced to complaining that conservatives aren't being narrow-minded enough. Thus, Hanna Rosin--who has covered religion and politics for the Washington Post, and has also written for the New Yorker, the New Republic, and the New York Times--lamented in a piece for Slate: "So cavalier are conservatives about Sarah Palin's wreck of a home life that they make the rest of us look stuffy and slow-witted by comparison." I suppose it was ungenerous of conservatives, in our broad-mindedness and tolerance of human frailty, to have let Ms. Rosin down, just when she was counting on us to bring out the tar and feathers. But she gives us too much credit when she suggests we make the liberal media look stuffy and slow-witted. They do that all by themselves.

POPSRussian media None of this is or should be about Russia or the Russian people. All of it stinks of Soviet propaganda, Soviet brutality, Soviet morality, and Soviet nostalgia. It is the handiwork of the siloviki clique that currently monopolizes power in Russia through authoritarian politics, kleptocratic economics, and media manipulation. This clique must be shown that war crimes do not pay. The Russian people, too, need to learn that nostalgia for Soviet imperialism is a dead end for Russia.

POPSThe "Recession" The media wanted to get a Dem elected then so they said the economy was great (and it was. A recession is a natural occurrence). Now they again want to get a Dem elected so they are covering the slowdown in the economy and blaming it on the President. Wait and see what happens when the Dems raise taxes.
