Working with random shapes of broken tile, pottery or glass. It’s like putting together a puzzle with no box lid to look at. The size, shape and coloration of the piece suggest its position in the final mosaic. This gives the art an organic feel that is so much a part of the nature that inspired it and difficult to achieve with contrived shapes. Spontaneous? Serendipitous? And just good design.
