POPSThe Girls 'Sexualised' At Age Of Five Researcher Dr Eileen Zurbriggen said that girls as young at four are at risk. "The consequences of the sexualisation of girls in media today are very real and are likely to be a negative influence on girls' healthy development," she said. "As a society, we need to replace all these sexualised images with ones showing girls in positive settings. "The goal should be to deliver messages to all adolescents - boy and girls - that lead to healthy sexual development." Michele Elliot, of child protection charity Kidscape, said: "Bratz dolls are little sexualised creatures which give the wrong message to kids. "Let them be kids. We have got children of 12, 13 and 14 who are ashamed that they haven't had sex yet. They think sex is the be all and end all." A spokesman for Bratz said that children see the dolls as being pretty rather than sexy.

POPSDress-Like-a-Whore Day? I remember egoldstein saying something about this before. I still wouldn't trade a great Wonder Woman costume for anything. I like men who know their comic books. :)

POPSWater-- the background of life "We previously thought proteins would affect only those water molecules directly stuck to them," Gruebele said. "Now we know proteins will affect a volume of water comparable to their own. That's pretty amazing." i find this description of water sexy :0

POPS "Dudes, It's the 21st century Evolve! girl can be smart & sexy, science-y & sleek" ;-) "When physicist Lisa Randall posed for Vogue a couple of years ago, there were all sorts of outrageous criticisms of how she was playing into appearance-obsessed stereotypes and hurting the image of women in physics, blah, blah, blah. No one stopped to marvel at how incredible it was that Vogue -- which reaches millions of women around the globe each month who would never, in a million years, pick up a book or article about science -- chose to feature a woman scientist in its pages at all. If even a fraction of those millions of readers worldwide had their perceptions of female scientists changed for the better, huzzah! "

POPSSEXY (Totaly hot naked picture of a Mono-monostatic object: perfect geometric equilibrium) Now that I have your attention, allow me to introduce the Gomboc! It's an object of absolutely perfect geometric equilbrium. There is only one position in which it can rest, and it will always return to the exact same posture, because the balance of its proportions all pull it to a single incredibly narrow center of gravity. And, it is TOTALLY NAKED! I mean, just check out the curves on this one! How did we get this Gombloc? Well, there were a few Russian mathematicians sitting around (probably stoned) who thought it would be cool. So they just sat down and did the math "for a few years" and then tested thousands of pebles (once again, STONED!) until they just decided to make one themselves. I am so not worthy!

POPSToo Sexy For My Students I'm not sorry I read them that book, that chapter, those words. Knowing that term isn't going to hurt them. And now, no one will ever laugh at them for not knowing it. When it comes to introducing adolescents to the realm of the sexual world — whether in books, or movies or life — it seems like one person's discomfort is another's salvation. No one has ever died from discomfort.

POPSThe Romeo and Juliet Effect: Why Christians Keep Having Sex Before Marriage A pretty interesting article, apparently written by an "evangelical" explaining why teens will continue to have sex before marriage & where society fails in stopping it. Personally, i have no issue with sex before marriage as long as both are consenting and mature enough to understand the ramifications physically, psychologically & socially. The meat of the article is further down, with some pretty interesting figures such as: The flash memory of mobile phones taken from (Saudi Arabian) teenagers showed 69.7% of 1,470 files saved in them were pornographic and 8.6% were related to violence.

POPSIs he sexy? well that depends if she is ovulating :) At other points during the cycle, women will prefer more feminized male faces, as they might signal a higher willingness of the males to invest in offspring. This is a great example to the biases that constantly dictate ones sense of reality! the way out is not easy...
