POPSUnworthy Nominees This is how Bush began his failed presidency, and, I guess, this is how he plans on ending it. What a goof!

POPS'Bush Is Too Horrendous to Be Forgotten' SPIEGEL talks to American author Philip Roth about growing old, why George W. Bush is the worst American president ever and why he never gives out his cell phone number. Philip Roth, who will be 75 in March, is one of America's most critically acclaimed living writers. His 1969 novel "Portnoy's Complaint" brought him fame, and he went on to win a Pulitzer Prize for 1997's "American Pastoral."

POPSBush says faith helped him go sober Many of us would have a hard time getting a job because of some kind of similar addition. George Bush got a big time job and proceeded to lead the United States of America...... simply amazing!

POPSThe Bush Tragedy Listen to the 30 minute.... much of it about Bush and his relationship with his father, his drinking career, his relationship with Billy Graham....and his born again adventure. Very interesting, and very disturbing! It's been 8 years of this troubled and flawed man having too much power..... It sure is time for a change!

POPSGeorge of Arabia What ever happened to all that retoric about "FREEDOM"... Saudi Arabia is the leader of the NON_FREE, SICK SOCIETY that is gushing money and trampling on any sense of freedom or human dignity. I hear that Bush has invited the King to his ranch for a little barbaque. Just a friendly kind of gesture. Right now I can't figure out who is sicker....them or us!

POPSDoes Bush Hate Kids? Check out this article for ways you can voice your opinion on the vote tomorrow. Bush will probably be successful with his veto because of a dozen or so Republicans in the House who feel secure in their re-election bid. They will go along with Bush.....shameful as it is!

POPSConservatives Are Such Jokers
MORE: On Wednesday, President Bush vetoed legislation that would have expanded S-chip, the State Children’s Health Insurance Program, providing health insurance to an estimated 3.8 million children who would otherwise lack coverage. In anticipation of the veto, William Kristol, the editor of The Weekly Standard, had this to say: “First of all, whenever I hear anything described as a heartless assault on our children, I tend to think it’s a good idea. I’m happy that the president’s willing to do something bad for the kids.” Heh-heh-heh. Most conservatives are more careful than Mr. Kristol. They try to preserve the appearance that they really do care about those less fortunate than themselves. But the truth is that they aren’t bothered by the fact that almost nine million children in America lack health insurance. They don’t think it’s a problem. HERE'S A REALLY SAD STATEMENT FROM OUR PRESIDENT! “I mean, people have access to health care in America,” said Mr. Bush in July. “Af

POPSSecret U.S. Endorsement of Severe Interrogations
MORE: Mr. Gonzales approved the legal memorandum on “combined effects” over the objections of James B. Comey, the deputy attorney general, who was leaving his job after bruising clashes with the White House. Disagreeing with what he viewed as the opinion’s overreaching legal reasoning, Mr. Comey told colleagues at the department that they would all be “ashamed” when the world eventually learned of it. Later that year, as Congress moved toward outlawing “cruel, inhuman and degrading” treatment, the Justice Department issued another secret opinion, one most lawmakers did not know existed, current and former officials said. The Justice Department document declared that none of the C.I.A. interrogation methods violated that standard. The classified opinions, never previously disclosed, are a hidden legacy of President Bush’s second term and Mr. Gonzales’s tenure at the Justice Department, where he moved quickly to align it with the White House after a 2004 rebellion by staff lawyers

POPSGoing, going, Gonzales more: Mr Bush also has precious little political capital left, even with his own side, and certainly not enough to relaunch his presidency. The Gonzales fiasco has dealt yet another serious blow to his reputation. Mr Bush (“the decider”) prides himself on his ability to pick good men and then allow them to get on with things. But Mr Gonzales was a lightweight crony who was out of his depth. Mr Bush also prides himself on his loyalty to his subordinates. But this loyalty has persuaded him to back friends long after they have become liabilities. Messrs Gonzales and Rove and the rest of the Texas posse now have the luxury of spending their retirements in their home state. Mr Bush has no choice but to spend the next 17 months in Washington. He is not in for a pleasant time.

POPSRovian Politics....the politics of division It was always so damn obvious to me that "I'm a uniter, not a divider", was a totally untrue Bush statement. I've never seen this country so divided! All this crew cared about was winning elections....their strategy was to appeal to the base. They used every Rovian "dirty trick" possible to eek out that last vote.....to push them over the top.....no matter how divided the country became. Now, they get to slink off back under their rock.

POPSSettlement in anti-Bush T-shirt case I always thought that the right to protest was not challenged in this country. I guess I was a little naive on this point. Amazing how you can just assume that you have rights in a free America......then, something comes along that makes you realize not to let your guard down, or you might find yourself in an America that you don't recognize anymore. Good thing we got the ACLU to counteract the bullies who want control over the masses....at any cost......including the degradation of the U.S. Constitution. Bush and the boys have been doing this sort of thing for the past seven years.

POPSYet again, the Democrats roll over
More: The Orwellian measure allows the federal government -- without a court order or oversight -- to intercept electronic communications between people in the U.S. and people outside the U.S. The old rule required that a special court give its approval for that kind of surveillance. The new law bypasses the court and empowers the director of national intelligence and the attorney general to authorize the surveillance. McConnell -- who is pushing for more spy power -- and Attorney General Alberto Gonzales -- who has huge credibility problems -- will decide on the targets. Both will also have charge of oversight of the program. Figure that! In recent weeks, administration officials have warned that the United States is under a heightened terrorist threat. Senate Democratic leader Harry Reid denounced the new legislation, saying it authorizes warrantless searches and surveillance of American phone calls, e-mails, homes, offices and personal records. Civil liberties advoca

POPSAn Immoral Philosophy
More: It must be about philosophy, because it surely isn't about cost. One of the plans Mr. Bush opposes, the one approved by an overwhelming bipartisan majority in the Senate Finance Committee, would cost less over the next five years than we'll spend in Iraq in the next four months. And it would be fully paid for by an increase in tobacco taxes. So what kind of philosophy says that it's O.K. to subsidize insurance companies, but not to provide health care to children? So his philosophy says that the government must be prevented from solving problems, even if it can. In fact, the more good a proposed government program would do, the more fiercely it must be opposed. denying basic health care to children whose parents lack the means to pay for it, simply because you're afraid that success in insuring children might put big government in a good light, is just morally wrong. it seems, more basic decency in the hearts of Americans than is dreamt of in Mr. Bush's philosophy.

POPSGonzales Helped Bush Hide His Drunk Driving Conviction Gonzales and Bush have quite a history together. Is there anyone out there who could have survived a drunk driving charge and go on to be President of the United States of America. Bush didn't stop drinking until he was 40 years old. It was not just a youth oriented mis-conduct event!

POPSGonzales is telling the thruth! HA HA .... fooled you!..... click on the link for the entire "clarification" by the NYTimes of the debacle at our number one law enforcement agency! What a joke! The joke is on us! This President, and his buddy Gonzales could care less about the rule of law, and hence about this country! It is disgusting how they continue to get away with this stuff.
