Why I use Clipmarks
I've used other sites, but find this one the most interactive. I'm somewhat hooked on using this site over the others. I like the notice in email about clipped articles I submitted, and the ability to comment on the comments. Is fun, and can be an excellent way to engage in conversation, and find out more about topics of interest.

America Loses Its Stature as Tallest Country

Maybe if we thought more about our children's well-being than about wealth and power, we would grow up a little. The future and our future as a nation is our children. Neglect them and we ultimately do harm to our country. Were is the concern for them. I don't see it. Bush recently vetoed a bill that would have given our kids more health care. He vetoed it on "ideological" grounds......afraid that this bill might lead to some kind of socialized medicine, instead of the current "un-socialized" medicine,....I guess!

The Religious Right's Era Is Over
schreibe
by schreibe  3-2-2007
I guess when I see words like: "dynamic", "progressive", "change"....etc., I think of the word "Liberal"....which has for too long been given the wrong definition by a very clever and determined right wing conservative political agenda. Look up the word "Liberal" in the dictionary, and then look up the word "conservative". Connecting words to certain images is a definite form of brainwashing, as demonstrated in the book "1984", and with the concept of "Newspeak". Whoever controls words, and language, controls the people! Sad, but probably true, as witnessed by the last six years of calculated control of language. Let's hope that social, moral, and political justice will follow and replace the social, moral, and political hypocritical injustice of the past few years! "the years ahead may be shaped by a dynamic and more progressive faith that will make needed social change more possible"..........

Great article for those of us who love both dogs and children! Of course there are a few differences between dogs and children :) But, a few things are the same......ie .....uncoditional love, dependence, and trust!

Buddhists, Existentialists and Situationists: Waking up in Waking Life
overture

"Richard Linklater's 2002 film Waking Life is all about dreaming, and how we can sometimes control our dreams when they're lucid. Yet it's also about some broad philosophical issues, including one of the oldest philosophical conundrums, the distinction between appearance and reality."
