POPSThrowing It All Out There (facebook, myspace, etc) So far, the social networking explosion shows no sign of abating. One man in America who spotted the girl of his dreams on public transport found her again last week thanks to a very public search campaign conducted through his website www.nygirlofmydreams.com. Public displays are not always so touching. Pictures reprinted in a newspaper yesterday from YouTube and Facebook show young women glorifying the act of drinking themselves unconscious in public places. In truth, the love life and drinking culture of today's teenagers is probably nothing new, but their willingness to boast about it suggests a generation immune to embarrassment. More disturbing still are the pictures of the suspected killers in Perugia posing with machine guns and meat cleavers. Perhaps they are merely fancy dress coincidences.
