And here I was expecting a report on how consumers are victims of fraudulent activity on the part of banks such as predatory lending and exorbitant credit interest rates!

Belief in Gods isn’t a precondition to being good. In fact, I’d wager people who don’t believe are often more moral because they’re not just doing things for a divine reward or because they’re afraid of the divine Hell punishment if they don’t. Conversely, I have many religious friends who are moral, honest and caring people whom I have a hard time believing would regress into immoral, nasty people if their religion disappeared.

Google To Air Chrome Ads On TV

I get the feeling the kind of people who would be technologically literate enough now to install software after watching a TV advertisement are the kind of people who are mostly watching shows online anyway not on TV.

This article makes a valid point, but it bothers me so many economists and analysts still assume "GDP growth" automatically equals less poverty. Economic growth measured by GDP per capita is not the be all, end all solution to lowering income inequality and raising average standards of living, and it never has been.

Twitter has a low retention rate... so?
rubenerd
by rubenerd  4-28-2009
The internet is a fickle thing, what's true today isn't true tomorrow, and one can't draw parallels between viewership of traditional media and websites. Ratings (sorry, "retention rates") like this mean squat. There are many legitimate concerns one could raise about Twitter, but marketing speak like this ain't one of them.

I really disliked their last ones, I think these ones have some class. Unfortunately the days where you could tell the performance of a system just be looking at a sticker are long gone, CPUs are only a small part of the equation now.
