POPSPanoramio - great free service Greta new service. Upload your pictures and share by locating it on a map. Example http://www.panoramio.com/map/#lt=39.928889&ln=116.388333&z=5&k=2&a=1 It becomes more more exciting when looking at the results form Google earth, just add new network link and use this URL http://www.panoramio.com/panoramio.kml Now, when you enable it (check it), wherever you have your view point, you see pictures, which people uploaded and linked to that specific location I do not think it repayment for Flickr, its different service, and its nice. Also I see they have ads by Google, so everyone is happy, we get free service and they get their share, that is how it needs to be.

POPSGoogle earth beta version Google earth released beta version, will look at it later today, but I think its amazing they see important feature as the need to simplify UI. No doubt its key feature for every new app. I see myself as geek but ever application which require me to think, how to operate it, rather than do it intuitively, I will drop quickly, and other users less experienced will get frustrated, I see my wife daily struggling with simple feature. You want your application to be successful? Make it simple, real simple, few features available of basic screens, not like MS, where even I use like 2% of what available on office or outlook.

POPSA simple and amazing tool Sometimes very simple tools make your life so easy. How many times have you watched a web page, and wanted to email it to yourself, either to read later, or to forward. So instead of sending just the link, use this bookmarklet, one click and you get the page, to pre defined email address. I use it a lot and daily.

POPSWhat happened to Google calendar Does anyone use Google calendar and enjoy it? I was waiting for long time and was quite excited when it was released (of course as beta), but I was waiting for additional features to follow, mainly good todo and sync with Outlook, and nothing. I used before Airsoft, which synchronized fine with Outlook, using client on PC, so I guess its not that complicated, but I do not see Google or any developers publishing such tools, and I do not see real new features released, so was it born too early, to kick the potential competitors?

POPSCreate your own secure VPN One of the tools I use a lot, and enjoy. It enables you to create your own virtual network (and its zero configuration). I have my son in Canada, my daughter in Sydney, and my PC's at home and work, all virtually on same network. The privileges of accessing files, is derived from Windows, so whatever was shared before, is shared over the VPN as well. I hope you enjoy.
