POPSTrailing Indicators: Out of a Job, Some Decide to Take a Hike I am surprised no one has written a site or app to allow people to plan all this out and for those looking for hikers to work to post their exchange, etc. Seems like it would be a nice little business, of course one would need to plan and schedule all this out before they hit the trail.

POPSFinancial industry paid millions to Obama aide While the article seems to take a stab at the Obama administraton, I am taking a stab at all these people in the Wall Street financial industry. All of these finance guys are involved in the largest ponzi and control scheme in the history of modern society. Having heard Douglas Rushkoff speak at Web2Expo it all makes much more sense on how big government and corps try to control society. Currency is simply one instrument in the big ponzi scheme. I just ordered Rushkoff's book "Life, Inc" which unravels this whole mess and offers some ways that we are normal citizens can win back control.

POPSHidden homeless: U.S. families living in motel rooms The unfortunate ones in all this are the children. I really feel bad for kids that are stuck in this mess. The only positive side for these folks is that while they are not in the best of circumstance, at least they are among family, have a roof over their head and food. There are many out there that are not so lucky.

POPSPhysicists on Wall Street This is a very interesting use of physicists. I wonder how many are busy creating models daily to try to figure out where the bottom of this economy is and when it will be reached?

POPSRAND Lobbies Pentagon: Start War To Save U.S. Economy If this were true I would say our gov't is full of more Fracking idiots then I originally thought. I would not put past any think tank though - hell Cheney's old company made a shit load by doing that in 2001. Hopefully the next administration is more focused on world peace and diplomacy rather than blowing things up.

POPSBush: don't turn inward due to financial crisis Well I think most who have money are now putting it in safe keeping and not spending. A drive around many areas (though DC/N. Va is exception) show many retailers are very much hurting with very few out spending $$.

POPSFour Great Companies on Sale You really have to wonder if all these finance mags and newspapers are just trying to convince people to buy in order to get things moving again. Likewise I suppose if things go bad they have no magazine. Some of the readers comments were interesting.

POPSWarren Buffett Reveals Bailout's Dirty Little Secret They should just listen to Buffet - the man obviously knows what he is doing and has nothing to gain from the advice. The Bernanke and Paulson plan however will allow all their buddies to still stay rich. It really should come down to what is right for the American people, not what is right for a select few.

POPSRush is on to prevent AIG from failing The big question I have over all this is it just the Ultra Rich trying to keep their wealth from sinking or are they really doing all this to help the average US citizen? It seems all these continued bailouts are just to save the ultra rich and extremely wealthy from becoming just upper middle class?

POPSChaos on Wall Street: How Your Tax Dollars will resolve it Yup - of course - the taxpayer will get stuck footing the bill for this and all those that made the hundreds of millions as CEO's and such will walk away untouched. Meanwhile, a large percentage of people will get to hang on to their houses at taxpayer expense as well. So when you pay your taxes, remember you are paying for a second home - just not one you own or will ever get to live in.
