POPSUsual Whitewash of IDF coloured this time. When Israel first investigated the incident in March 2005 it concluded there was insufficient evidence to press criminal charges. The commander of the unit faced disciplinary proceedings but was exonerated. The usual whitewash didn't work this time.

POPSBest on the Net: Italy expose Income of All! Tax evasion is rife in Italy and both Silvio Berlusconi, the incoming PM, and the man he succeeds, Romano Prodi, pledged to tackle tax cheats. Prodi's finance ministry described the move as a bid to shine a light on people's murky tax returns. The tax minister, Vincenzo Visco, was quoted in Italy's Corriere della Sera saying: "It's all about transparency and democracy. I don't see the problem." But the timing of the release of the information has been viewed with scepticism. It was one of the last acts of Prodi's centre-left government before it leaves office next week, sparking accusations the move was motivated by spite. ... Guardian

POPSColombian drug lord killed by security forces The brothers' empire evolved amid a murky nexus between Colombia's narco-trafficking mafias and right-wing militia groups, which were battling left-wing guerrillas. The militias supposedly disbanded under a peace deal with the government, but the Mejias remained fugitives ... Guardian Opportune 'success' given the scandals of late in the right-wing Columbian governments.

POPSArmy CoverUp Rape & Murder as Suicide
and would you believe, she then committed suicide? The Department of Defense statistics are alarming - one in three women who join the US military will be sexually assaulted or raped by men in the military. Now, even more alarming, are deaths of women soldiers in Iraq and in the US following rape. The military has characterized each death of women who were first sexually assaulted as deaths from "noncombat related injuries," and then added "suicide." The families of the women whom the military has declared to have committed suicide strongly dispute the findings and are calling for further investigations into the deaths of their daughters. Specific US Army units and certain US military bases in Iraq have an inordinate number of women soldiers who have died of "noncombat related injuries," with several identified as "suicides." 94 women have died in Iraq. 12 US civilian women have been killed there. 13 military women have been killed in Afghanistan. 12 civilian women have bee

POPSCheeney/Zionist Plan for Nuclear Against Iran! "Of the many American illusions and delusions surrounding this war, the Administration's calculations with respect to Iran were among the most wildly off base. Instead of generating a liberal, secular democracy whose reverberations would drive out Iran's clerical oligarchs, the disastrous Bush policies fostered a sectarian Iraq that has helped empower Iranian hardliners. Rather than serving as an anchor for a new era of stability and American preeminence in the Persian Gulf, the new Iraq represents a strategic black hole, bleeding Washington of military resources and political influence while extending Iran's primacy among its neighbours." ... POPSACLU: SODOMY Committed by Prison Guards on POW until death! Fuc@ 'em over until death after beating, burning, dousing with cold water in freezing weather. A quick beheading on TV might appear civilized in comparison!? Expect these men to return home and play happy families without some awful consequences for the children, wives and community? Ye, when you have machines, but not thinking persons doing the torturing and killing for the military. Meanwhile the vets will fill your prisons, mental hospitals and what used be your vets hospitals.

POPSFBI's response "a colossal overreaction". Typical now in US. Why the FBI chose to pursue this case is unclear, but Kurtz's supporters are convinced that it was an intentional attempt to punish an artist who is critical of the government's authoritarian tendency. As Nature magazine put it: "It seems that government lawyers are singling Kurtz out as a warning to the broader artistic community". Perhaps, as far as the FBI is concerned, a science experiment posing as politically-motivated art is a form of terrorism. ... Guardian Science and art aren't redneck fundamentalist notions of a good American.

POPSWill US Respect Democratic Will of Nepal Electorate? They didn't respect the democratic will of Gazan when they elected Hamas to rule. Both have in common been on the US list of terrorist groups. Just like Nelson Mandela still is! Will the US now conspire to undo the democratic will of the Nepalese like they did with Hamas? The US record with apartheid South Africa hasn't been forgotten either. Looking to Israel is a good reminder daily. Is there a guaranteed of being democratically elected to have your party listed as a terrorist group by the USA?

POPS'Torturer's Dicks got Hard with New Ideas'. She didn't have a Dick!
On December 2, Detainee 063 was in an isolated, plywood interrogation booth at Camp X-Ray. He was bolted to the floor and secured to a chair, his hands and legs cuffed. He had been held in isolation since August 8, nearly four months earlier. He was dehydrated and in need of regular hook-ups to an intravenous drip. His feet were swollen. He was urinating on himself. The pattern was always the same: 20-hour interrogation sessions, followed by four hours of sleep. Sleep deprivation appears as a central theme, along with stress positions and constant humiliation, including sexual humiliation. These techniques were supplemented by the use of water, regular bouts of dehydration, the use of IV tubes, loud noise, nudity, female contact, pin-ups. An interrogator even tied a leash to him, led him around the room and forced him to perform a series of dog tricks. He was forced to wear a woman's bra and a thong was placed on his head. POPSHugo's Friend, former Bishop is New President in South America!
Lugo calls himself an independent and has steered clear of Latin America's more radical leftwing leaders, such as Venezuela's Hugo Chávez and Evo Morales in Bolivia. But he is seen as a likely ally of moderate leftist presidents in the region. Lugo, nicknamed the "bishop of the poor", was confident Paraguayans would elect him in the hope of seeing "a different country", likening himself to a David fighting a "monstrous Goliath". The Colorado party has stayed in power by means of democracy and dictatorship, ruling even longer than Cuba's Communist party. Eight months ago, Lugo welded unions, Indians and poor farmers into a coalition with the main opposition party to form the Patriotic Alliance for Change. Many ordinary Paraguayans had become fed up of what they saw as a corrupt establishment, that failed to safeguard the poorest in a country landlocked by wealthier neighbours Argentina and Brazil, and economically dependent on its agricultural and hydroelectric power exports.

POPSChild Abuse in Sickening Detail. Death a relief Having read the details of this horrific child abuse, which is beyond anything I've previously read, I'm left incapable of rational thought. Recently there was a sex/cult event in Texas. In comparison with this it was a non-event. This has been kept hushed up. Why? Is it because of the involvement of a Haredi Orthodox Rabbi as the prime torturer? Recently another child abuser in Australia was given safe haven in Israel. Is it opportune while the pope seeks forgiveness in the USA, that abuse of children that would put the Nazis to shame would see the light of day in the 'free and fair' USA media. Is there a word on this atrocity? What society allowed this to happen? This was no overnight phenomenon. What religion sees it as creed to torture children beyond what would be acceptable to the worst criminal or terrorist? How sick is the society?

POPSNetanyahu "9/11 Benefited Israel". Follow the Money Former PM of Israel, Benjamin Netanyahu claims 9/11 has been beneficial for Israel. This adds to the conspiracy theory as to Israel's involvement in that awful event. Is 9/11 just USS Liberty on a larger scale. After al, Israel has not looked back since attempting to blast USS Liberty out of the water intending the US to attack Egypt then. Now is has been Afghanistan and Iraq with Iran lined up as the next Zionist target. Follow the money. Naomi Klein's article indicates clearly that the main beneficiary of 9/11 after the US 'contractor' firm has been Israel. Apartheid security is now synonymous with Israel. Fences, drones, torture and interrogation technology, and on and on are all Israeli earners. Having UK police fire 7 rounds into a Brazilian's head is all due to Israeli training. Death is their trade. They've had the practice and it's paying off big.

POPS94% of Building Permits/Applications DECLINED, unless... ...Unless your a Jewish settler. Living in the West Bank for generations virtually ensures you will NOT get building permission. Arriving in the last decade from somewhere in Russia or Poland increases your odds of permission dramatically. Is this not state ethnic cleansing by stealth. Is it any worst than the ethnic cleansing started by the Zionists 60 years ago even before Israel was voted official by the UN. Then millions were forcibly evicted from their homes. Now it's a gradual destruction of Arab houses and removable. Remember this is in the West Bank, in supposable Arab Palestinian.

POPSand China is Worse than this? What a perversion of justice. And all for ONE trial with a 9 month sentence so far. Out of nearly 700 POWs there may be only 80 cases after all the torture that they will even bring to their kangaroo court show trail. What a system. What an advert for American 'democracy'. Were the Nazis as unjust as this never mind China. I know one thing for absolute certainty; one country is moving forward while the other is racing backwards. Most countries make at least a pretence at dispensing justice to its foes while Bush appears to intend to deliberately offend normal basic standards and to goad even more terrorism to justify his misnomer 'War on Terror'.

POPS'Silence must be broken in SEXUAL ABUSE of Children' "We must call on the rabbis to tell their population to be more open about what is going on. It is not lashon hora ," added Kadman. "People who keep quiet are partners in the abuse." Asked whether the case in Beit Shemesh and the one two weeks ago of a US immigrant family accused of severely abusing their six children indicated a rise in abuse within the haredi community, both Slutzky and Kadman concurred that it was more a case of increased awareness and reporting. Kadman noted that child abuse cases have gone up in recent years, but that this was the case in all of society, not particularly in the Haredi community. ...JPost

POPSBulldoze then claim Ancient Village never existed! In 2003 all the townships ranked among the eight poorest areas of Israel. But of the newly built communities around Beer Sheva, with their predominantly Jewish populations, two were in the top five wealthiest areas of the country. However, the seven townships to which it wants the Bedouin to move are already overcrowded and have poor living conditions - in stark contrast to the new communities being built nearby for Israelis relocating to the Negev.
