POPS'bizarre mix of mammal, bird and reptile, with very complex sexuality' The fact that the animal has five X and five Y chromosomes is "the weirdest thing about a very weird animal," said Ewan Birney, a co-author on the paper, based at the European Bioinformatics Institute, near Cambridge. "In theory it means there are 25 possible sexes, though in practice that doesn't happen."

POPSEPILEPSY: 'a great deformity', grounds for divorce. "The court further found that the husband was aware of his wife's condition, and the fact that she was treated for it, prior to the marriage, but since she demonstrated no symptoms, the seizure could be construed as a new medical condition. The court then relied on a halachic ruling, dating back several hundred years, deeming epilepsy a physical deformity that can be used as grounds for divorce." ... Ynet

POPSOldies Remember: One Man's Sacrifice of Fame. I know I'd never have had the 'balls'. If he had known how badly America would treat him subsequently, I doubt if he would done it so blatantly either. What sacrifice! Yes, with time America forgave. Just like it forgave THE elite sportsman of the 20th century, ALI. He too had to suffer first for his colour. Must they first become the heroes of the World before being heroes in America? "Back home he were subject to abuse and he and his families received death threats. Smith continued in athletics, going on to play American football with the Cincinnati Bengals, before becoming an assistant professor of Physical Education at Oberlin College. In 1995 he went on to help coach the US team at the World Indoor Championships at Barcelona. In 1999 he was awarded a Sportsman of the Millennium award. He is now a public speaker. ... Wikipedia

POPSFemales OUT. Would you Believe? Justice Minister Daniel Friedmann sent a harsh letter to the Petah Tikva court's presiding judge, Rabbi Baruch Shimon Salomon, stressing that the rabbinical court was obligated to follow the laws of the State of Israel, including the Equal Employment Opportunity Law that prohibits discrimination based on gender. .. Ynet Normally the Orthodox Rabbis regard themselves as above the laws of Israel and needed reminding that discrimination against females doesn't gel with democracy. So two years later the female gets her job back and the Rabbis get a tap on the wrist, maybe.

POPSHolocaust Retribution to finance Zionism. "Zionists used the Holocaust in order to attain reparations, the Holocaust doesn’t interest them. They use the topic of the Holocaust cynically by exploiting it as a tool with which to establish a country and receive money, but nothing more than that.”

POPSLadies: NO Pants, please. I'd be very wary of any zealot with nutty views like this. I'd keep him well away from vulnerable children. This just isn't normal. Even worse than celebrant priests.

POPSChildren of Mansouri Remembered. "In all, six people were killed, including Abbas Jiha's wife, Mona, and three of his children. POPSBreaking The Silence. The Moral Price Paid. How does a dead 13 year old girl fit with an acquitted Captain and a moral army? How does it happen that time and time again the IDF emerges out of the fogginess of its "military operations" and explains to us all what morality is? What goes through the Mind of a Soldier When He Takes the Chopped-Off Head of a Terrorist and Sticks It on a Stake and Pushes a Cigarette into his Mouth? – Answers for Shocked Parents, Concerned Citizens and One IDF Spokesman.

POPS"It is the smell of shit. Raw untreated sewage is pumped every day out of the Jewish settlements" "Humanitarian & Environmental Disaster of Epic Proportions" Vast stagnant pools of waste are being held within fragile dykes across the strip, and rotting. Last March, one of them burst, drowning a nine-month-old baby and his elderly grandmother in a tsunami of human waste. The Centre on Housing Rights warns that one heavy rainfall could send 1.5m cubic metres of faeces flowing all over Gaza, causing "a humanitarian and environmental disaster of epic proportions". So how did it come to this? How did a Jewish state founded 60 years ago with a promise to be "a light unto the nations" end up flinging its filth at a cowering Palestinian population? ...Johann Hari

POPSPalestine: A Letter to the Peace Movement
Thousands of Palestinians are imprisoned in Israeli detention centers where there is reported use of torture. People die at Israeli checkpoints because they cannot get to medical facilities. Palestinians are being denied water, food and medical supplies. Palestinians have to endure continual attacks by jets, helicopters and drones used for assassinations (which are illegal by international law) that also kill many civilians. According to Chris Hedges (http://www.informationclearinghouse.info/article19127.htm), since 2000, 1033 Israelis have died and 4,437 Palestinian have died from this conflict. 119 of these deaths were Israeli children and 971 have been Palestinian children. All these deaths are a waste of life, but these numbers also show that the fault is not equal between the Israelis and Palestinians. The fault lies with the aggressor and the occupier. When people live under a brutal occupation, have their lands stolen, their houses destroyed, orchards wiped out by bulldozers

POPSDoes it Undo the Christian and Muslims, too? If it proves that the Exodus is a MYTH then so is the bible. Then so is Christianity and the Muslim faith. And they all know it. Now its not about faith. It's about hoax!!! They should be in court as crooks but the courts too have their vested interest. Think of it as proving to children that there is a Father Christmas. Ok, no one is defrauded or cheated like these religions founded on myth not faith. And all this knowledge arose from attempting to prove that the European Jews had some right to the land of Israel. No matter how creative they have been, all their archaeology efforts have proven is the opposite to their theory. The Zionist have succeeded in one thing. Bringing archaeology into disrepute! And religion!

POPSSlavery By Another Name I saw Douglas Blackmon, Wall Street Journal reporter and author of "Slavery by Another Name", on the Tavis Smiley Show tonight. I had never before heard about neo-slavery. According to Blackmon, the South was culpable; the North was complicit. Modern companies, including US Steel, profited. The system didn't come to an end until the 1940s, "partly due to fears of enemy propaganda about American racial abuse at the beginning of World War II." 13th Amendment be damned, this sale of "convicts" to private enterprises to pay of "debts" was perfectly legal until 1951.

POPSBest on the Net: Italy expose Income of All! Tax evasion is rife in Italy and both Silvio Berlusconi, the incoming PM, and the man he succeeds, Romano Prodi, pledged to tackle tax cheats. Prodi's finance ministry described the move as a bid to shine a light on people's murky tax returns. The tax minister, Vincenzo Visco, was quoted in Italy's Corriere della Sera saying: "It's all about transparency and democracy. I don't see the problem." But the timing of the release of the information has been viewed with scepticism. It was one of the last acts of Prodi's centre-left government before it leaves office next week, sparking accusations the move was motivated by spite. ... Guardian
