POPSNew Phone-to-web sync tool? Syncy is covered by TechCrunch writer Roi Carthy. Looks like an interesting service that may provide real value to those looking to not only sync their phone address/contact information, but also use that as the basis for a social network.

POPSIn arms reach? I be you're not much different. Most people keep their phone within arm's reach at all times. Heck, mine is even my alarm clock on my nightstand. You?

POPSE-Ten Glofish V900 Yeah, I agree the name(s) suck really bad. Hmm, "E-Ten Glofish" or "Apple iPhone". "E-Ten Glofish" or "HTC Touch". Well, regardless of the crappy name, this is shaping up to be a nice device. Especially with a 667Mhz proc.

POPSSymbian upgrades its OS, fights off rivals Om Malik at GigaOM has the scope on an interesting upgrade from Symbian, and will probably help then when compared to Windows Mobile, Palm, BlackBerry, and the upcoming iPhone, but I fear that the platform is too shortsighted in its original underpinnings to compete significantly. Every Symbian based device I've used has performance and scaling issues not seen on the other platforms - even BlackBerry.

POPSMotorola Buys Again Motorola is buying network hardware vendor Netopia. I'm interested in how this fits with Moto's purchase of Symbol and Good Technology. Netopia is a home-network focused supplier and the others toward industrial and enterprise solutions. In the context of Windows Mobile devices, this has some interesting prospects with both the other purchases, and T-Mobile's rollout of UMA (which uses WiFi for phone calls when available).
