POPSOf pixie boots, school districts, and technology So I've been spending my afternoon researching what it's going to take to pull up a F8 server to essentially run what's known as a PXE boot for me - which I'm hoping is going to allow me to run ancient iMacs in my classrooms by the end of the school year. We'll have to see how that all works out, in the meantime, Baker suggested I check out this K12LTSP stuff, which in turn led me to an article dictating the necessary evils of working for a school district. Seems like techs across the board feel the same way, it was an interesting read. Too bad it didn't actually help me get my server up and running.
