POPSThat Wacky Millennium! Part I (1001-1206) This was too easy to decide on after seeing his Wacky 20th Century timeline. I wish I could have put some of his forward into the clip but I will put it here instead: "At the end of the First Millennium, Rome had long since fallen. The Dark Ages were drawing to a close and the Medieval Period was beginning (although the term "dark ages" wasn't actually coined until the Renaissance, as part of an effort to make the past look bad). The stirrup had changed the face of warfare. Somebody had just invented that, that thing, what do you call it, that harness that goes around a horse's neck and puts the load on the animal's shoulders? That thing. And it changed the course of history, too, believe you me! Also, the modern notion of "progress" pretty much didn't exist; the view of the future was that every day was bleaker than the next, so hurry up and end, world, we're rootin' for that Second Coming." That should set the right tone...

POPSThat Wacky Century - Part IX (1985-2000) Yes. We all agree that the NASA jokes about the disaster were in poor taste but I swear that I heard the first one less than 24 hours after the explosion! New Coke, Three Mile Island and Chernobyl?? Hmm. I am glad I am allergic to Coke!

POPSThat Wacky Century - Part VI (1969-1976) If you are wondering why this clip ends in Logan's Run then you have not yet remembered what Sci-Fi movie made its debut in 1977. This writer makes some very funny pop culture comments not to mention he really has done his homework on what was the cause of many historical actions..

POPSThat Wacky Century - Part V (1963-1969) The half-decade of Assassinations alone is worth thinking about whether you are a conspiracy theorist or not! (I am NOT. I prefer the title "conspiracy connoisseur!") All this AND Star Trek? Wow, man, what a trip!

POPSTop 10 Most Evil Women The List is well thought out and reasoned. The historical perspective of all but the late 20th Century killers (Beverly Allitt - #7 and Katherine Knight - #2) has stood the test of time regardless of Holocaust deniers and Historical revisionists. A perusal of the comments on this page are an amazing look into or own collective psyche as people asked "Why not...?" on so many from Aileen Wournos to Madeline Albright! A sew wanted their ex-wives on the list! U dud bit clip much of the sections on the two Nazi women or Katherine Knight so I would not have to mark it as mature. It is a fascinating, yet disturbing read and the honorable mentions of Queen Elizabeth I and Lizzie Borden are appropriate.

POPSAbsinthe: How does it alter the mind??? An interesting clip from Techoccult on experiments done with Absinthe (which is illegal in the US) and on what exactly causes altered states of consciousness in its imbibers...
