POPSRadiohead $$$ In Rainbows I think that is pretty amazing that they made more money on In Rainbows than all of their other Radiohead albums put together.

POPSA Conservative Youth Culture Comming? Although my politics match my parents, left for left, sometimes I dress more conservatively than they do. They listen to Rancid and Radiohead, and worry about me when I get fed up and talk trash about raw-vegan hippies. Nothing stays the same for long. I have always wondered whether the pendulum will swing back towards the conservative, or whether we will simply become increasingly liberal, liberated and libertine? Looking back, history seems to suggest the later, and each subsequent age has been more liberated than the last... Or am I wrong? Is there in fact a cycle at work here? If so, what place and time has been as socially liberal as we are today?

POPSGood for Radiohead! I respect them so much for giving us the choice to pay or not, and it seems that everyone does benefit in the end!

POPSRadiohead Make 10 Million From 'In Rainbows'? I am loving this idea of a free-market for musicians. Radiohead took a chance in letting fans pay whatever they saw fit for a download of their lastest album and they made bank doing it. Not to mention the fact that the fans get the gratification of knowing any money they spent goes directly to Radiohead. I think they've set the new standard for how music and musicians market themselves.

POPSNo cameras. No lights. Just data. You can view the video, watch a short documentary about how it was made, interact with the video in 3D, download some of the data, and download an iGoogle theme and gadget - all at http://code.google.com/radiohead.

POPSRadiohead's Nail In The Music Industry's Coffin Radiohead is certainly putting the music industry on notice. It's a huge deal, one of the biggest bands in the world promoting and distributing an album without any help from a record label. If it works, it will prove that artists don't need labels --and if that's true, why allow them to take big chunks of your hard earned cash? Many other bands would no doubt follow suit, and that would be a crippling blow for the labels. -David M. Ewalt
