POPS10 Strategies for dealing with negative people My favorite is #3: “Now tell me something positive.” I'm going to try to use this one--on other people and on myself. "Right after they've finished telling you some tragic story, say to them, "now tell me a positive story". Some people have no idea how negative they’ve become. That's what they're surrounded by day in and day out so it’s just become a way of life for them. By being given the reminder, they may actually realize that being negative isn't the kind of person they want to be and may start to work on becoming more positive. Or, they may decide it's not worth telling you their horror stories because you'll ask them to think of something positive. Sob sisters (always whining, feel the world is against them, feel they're victims) will probably not find you very attractive anymore."

POPSBoy Allegedly Buried In Horror Bullying Episode The alleged ringleader's mother told reporters her son was a sweet child and that she had lost faith in the justice system. A sweet boy?? Geeeez!! Her statement is almost as shocking as the incident itself! One can only imagine the immense fear and terror the poor victim must have felt. It's simply shocking and so hard to fathom, that kids so young can do something so heinous and horrific. Poor boy...I hope he'll be okay. :(

POPSWhere are the Republicans? Only .5% of Americans fighting in Iraq.
By Cptenaud. There's no vacation for our troops in Iraq, Joe Galloway writes that as we are, "hard upon the dog days of August. Members of the U.S. Congress and the Iraqi parliament will soon slither away to the shade of cooler rocks, and President Bush will no doubt head off to Crawford to take his frustrations out on some brush with a chainsaw. Meanwhile, in Iraq, the 60,000 American combat troops who daily patrol the most dangerous streets and roads in the world will carry on fighting, dying and bleeding in the broiling sun where temperatures nudge the 130-degree mark and 40 pounds of body armor and Kevlar helmet plus weapon and ammunition weigh more with every step an Infantryman takes. The politicians in Washington and Baghdad will take their summer breaks, happy to postpone any further thought of Iraq at least until September, when the U.S. commander Gen. David Petraeus makes his progress report on the American troop surge to Congress, as though that may make some dif

POPSHuntsman spider Clock Spider Long ago (in Internet years), someone came home to see four giant spider legs hanging out from the clock on their wall. Naturally, most people would monkey scream, and bounce into the safety of the night like a baby deer. This brave soul, however, grabbed a camera, removed the clock from the wall, and photographed the horror found beneath. Although the Huntsman spider isn't poisonous, we're fairly certain nobody could get so close to a vicious beast without losing at least a limb or two as a tasty spider snack.

POPSProf. Stephen Hawking's life is "essentially worthless"' "you hear a lot of horror stories about such systems, most of them false. French health care is excellent. Canadians with chronic conditions are more satisfied with their system than their U.S. counterparts. And Medicare is highly popular, as evidenced by the tendency of town-hall protesters to demand that the government keep its hands off the program." If a taxpayer funded health care system is so terrible where are the howls of protest from Canadians, Australians, French, Swiss?

POPSIt's WORSE Than Guantanamo And Abu Ghraib The clip does not do the article justice. It was impossible to relay the horrors in such a short space. This is a two page article, that everyone with an iota of humanity left in them MUST read. The U.S Administration and the U.S Military are engaged in widespread, worldwide, systematic torture, abuse, imprisonment and murder!. This is the new USA and what is stands for. I am so sickened, disgusted, angry and I can't even begin to express the outrage I feel. It's sick!! Are you proud of yourself Mr Bush? How do you friggin' sleep at night?!? Geeez... Bush and his fellow partners in crime, have to be removed from power and if there's an ounce of decency left in the citizens of the USA, these people must be stopped and held accountable for all the atrocities and crimes against humanity they have and continue to commit!
