POPSTo US: Stop Flashing Shiny Things to Canadians We've been dealing with Paypal for a number of years now, and we've been happy with their service (some hiccups here and there). Since we rely on Google's services for our day-to-day operations, it would be nice to incorporate Google Checkout to our e-commerce websites, too. But alas! It's only available to US businesses! (Please comment on our blog, too! Thanks!)

POPSNintendo Spanks the Competition in Feb. It's official! I'm getting a Wii. (As soon as I get hold of one.) Also, if I'm reading this correctly, the original Playstation and Playstation 2 both surpass the new, improved PS3. Wow! I'll leave it at that though. No sense in further stating the obvious and getting everybody all excited now :)

POPS5 Big Brands Ruling Desktops In branding and marketing products, Apple could be the new Coke. When fanboys are uttering lines from Apple's marketing campaign, like "it just works" or "it's sexy", it's likely that we'll see Apple products (computers) in more homes.

POPSSteve Jobs' iTunes dance I love the brand and the little detail put into each product: the Cover Flow in iTunes, the proximity sensor on the awaited iPhone, the recently featured 2-finger scrolling trackpad viewed at cnettv.com, and even the magnetic power cord. But this DRM-thing...

POPSAdobe Creative Suite 3 to be unveiled this month There are times when we have to place PDF files in our QuarkXPress or InDesign documents. One feature, I think the Adobe Creative Suite excels in, is the ability to integrate from one Adobe product to another. I don't need to wait for an update patch from Quark to understand the new PDF file I'm placing in the document. With InDesign, the PDF just works since Acrobat ships with it!

POPSWant an alternative to Microsoft Office Suite? So you bought a new computer and it comes with a trial version of Microsoft Office Suite or Microsoft Works? Or perhaps need to work with Word (.doc) or Excel (.xls) files but don't necessarily want to shell out hard-earned cash on new software? You can either use "Google Docs and Spreadsheets" but because this is online, it tends to be a little sluggish at times depending on your internet connection. Here's the solution! Try "OpenOffice", it's easy to use and it's free!

POPSOn Family Blogging Some of us have their own family blogs. It's important to know when to draw the line on what we write about. The internet can be a rewarding place, but it can also be harmful to us and to the ones we care about. Remember the father who pulled the video of his two singing "overweight" kids from YouTube?

POPSMac Office users were Microsoft 'guinea pigs' Can't these people play nice together? How many times Microsoft have to dangle that darn Office Suite in front of the Macintoshes? Really, I just want to be able to open my PC files on the Mac and vise versa without any hitches!
