POPSRenewable energy-how much for how long Put in your city, state and zip and it will bring up any incentives, average price of installation and years for payback for wind and solar power. I didn't put in my email address. It didn't need it.

POPSEEstor: Ultracapacitor Co. could power cars @ $9 per 500 miles Patent application claims that their ~52 kWh ultracapacitor would weigh ~350 pounds. EEstor also briefly outlines in the patent a partial business model in which "power banks" using EEstor technology could act as a "gas station" for electric vehicles (recharge time of 4-6 minutes). In addition, it would consume electricity from the grid at night and store it until it was sold--often during peak hours.

POPSSay Goodbye to power cords and battery packs This sounds really interesting. It's not in the practical stages yet, but how convenient would it be to charge your cellphone, mp3 player or laptop without having to plug it in? I know in my house, free outlets are hard to come by, so this is something I can really get behind.

POPSEnergy Companies Make Wind Power a Top Investment I am all for renewable energy. I am not so sure I am for one stance on it. Wind power is just one of many avenues you can take for clean renewable energy. It is very clear from the article it all comes down to money. I wonder what else they HADN"T considered.

POPSSolar Roads Sounds great but a very lofty undertaking. Totally plausible with how solar technology is advancing.

POPSWind Power Taken to a New Level The big concern with conventional wind turbine type systems, is the noise and the worry of harming wildlife. This addresses (maybe) some of the issues. I love all these new ideas. People are thinking.

POPSWal-Mart's Solar Power Pilot Project A step in the right direction. On Wal-Mart's website, www.walmartstores.com, it shows how they plan to implement their low carbon footprint. I see it to be very comprehensive and conscientiously designed. I can't fault them for trying.

POPSPlastic solar cell efficiency I am following this technology to see where it goes and its efficacy. Right now it's in its infancy. Seems quite promising for the near future.
