My observation agrees with the author. My own theological education is very weak even after attending church regularly for 20 years. Why is this...How important it is depends upon the development not only of the mind through the educational process of ideas, but the spiritual input of God's truths within our being to become a part of who we are and not just a list of proper theological doctrines.
The real question is how are we in tune with one another. Aren't we all a part of the Body? It seems the 21st century church forms are beginning to dump some of the modernist trappings of our Western heritage. I hope so.
