About me
Grandfather, father, husband, brother
Member of the Body of Christ
Have started the Masters of Christian Thought program at Bethel Seminary's inMinistry program.
Sunday School teacher

I'm in a world of discovery--beginning to learn about and more importantly relate to the Trinitarian God who created me. I find the world full of confusion about its state and desperately trying to blame Christ and Christians for the problems they see. I find in Christ a person wholly different than He is often misrepresented-- a person so wholly other and yet so personable. This mystery continues to inspire and beckon. I don't have all the answers, in fact I have very few. Life is much greater than we can see, touch, hear, smell or taste. Woe to those who insist otherwise and live in their hollow cardboard universes...misleading others in the name of material belief.
Why I use Clipmarks
I am hoping that it can be a tool that will enable me to peruse what others are thinking and saying in a way that is efficient and informational of their thought and their reasoning.

thoughts on the basics

I don't necessarily agree with some of what Greg Boyd says, but I think this approach, which really comes from Bonhoeffer, is spot on.

some thoughts on the status of educated Christians
perryia_pk
by perryia_pk  4-11-2007
My observation agrees with the author. My own theological education is very weak even after attending church regularly for 20 years. Why is this...How important it is depends upon the development not only of the mind through the educational process of ideas, but the spiritual input of God's truths within our being to become a part of who we are and not just a list of proper theological doctrines.

Check this out. Mr. Cameron must be desperate for some P.R. But then again, its almost Easter and time to disprove Jesus once again. Too bad facts get in his way

How different are we....who's right?
perryia_pk
by perryia_pk  2-25-2007
The real question is how are we in tune with one another. Aren't we all a part of the Body? It seems the 21st century church forms are beginning to dump some of the modernist trappings of our Western heritage. I hope so.
