POPSClipmarks now available for Firefox 3 Just wanted to make sure everyone knows that we released a new version of clipmarks (version 3.5) that supports the just-released Firefox3. We made some real nice improvements to the orange lines so they should more accurately outline elements on the page to clip. If you don't have the latest version of clipmarks installed, you can get it here https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/1407. There's a review section on that page, so if you have anything nice to say, don't hesitate :) FYI...we're getting loads of new clippers today, so if you get a chance, check out the newest clips section and welcome some new users with some pops and comments.

POPSTurkey censors Wordpress; blogs can't be accessed When I tried to post a new entry to my blog a few minutes ago, I came across this page. It says: "Access to this site has been suspended in accordance with decision no: 2007/195 of T.C. Fatih 2.Civil Court of First Instance." At first, I thought it was my blog but after trying to access Wordpress.com's main page, I noticed the total Wordpress.com domain was blocked by the authorities. Another ridiculous example of censorship on the Internet content, in Turkey. there are hundred thousands of blogs on Wordpress.com and none can be accessed from Turkey now. This decision of the court is a shame for a country which claims to respect free speech. I protest this unfair blockage on Wordpress and call all the Turkish bloggers to support free speech and to condemn censorship.

DUTCH WEENIES refuse to throw out BLASPHEMY LAW The decision follows a high court ruling earlier this year, in which a man was found not guilty of insulting an entire group of people on the grounds of their religion by hanging up a poster with the text ’stop the tumor that is Islam.’ A majority of MPs had wanted the blasphemy law to be repealed. Hirsch Ballin agreed to do this and to amend the discrimination legislation to make it a criminal offence to insult groups of people instead. The Telegraaf reports that Hirsch Ballin now feels it would not be appropriate to cancel the blasphemy law because discrimination legislation is ambiguous and open to different interpretations. POPSWordpress.com is accessible again in Turkey The ban was lifted and Wordpress.com blogs are accesible from Turkey, via Telekom's DNS servers. Still there is not an official statement and all I could find was this comment on Matt's (Wordpress.com founder) blog, posted by a Turkish user. According to rumours, an officer from the Army was spreading critical information using his blog on Wordpress.com and "some inexperienced technical employee" at Turk Telekom blocked the whole Wordpress domain, "instead of just banning that blog", when the court's written order arrived. Let's wait for monday, for further explanations.
