About me
I think of myself as a moderate democrat, although my democratic friends think I'm conservative and my republican friends think I'm liberal. Maybe that's why my blog is called A Plague on Both Your Houses. The quote is from Romeo and Juliet and is what Mercutio said as he was stabbed by Tybalt (a Capulet and Juliet's cousin) who in turn is attempting to stab Romeo (a Montague). Not only have I always had a soft spot for Mercutio, it seems that is what happens if you are in between the extremes.
Why I use Clipmarks
I like the conversation. It's an excuse to give my views and get others. I have always found it interesting and informative to see what others are reading and what catches their eye.

  And for the one who's being looked at, eye contact sends a message, signaling acknowledgment, connection, and attention, signaling something, I suppose, like empathy. Being seen is, on some level, being felt. It's nice to be acknowledged.
