POPSMonument to Dead Fetus Proposal
I am really surprised at Wendell Gilliard. Wendell was 10 years on the Charleston District 6 City Council before recently vacating the seat to move up to the House for SC. Everyone liked him well enough. Across the board when asked what his greatest achievement was for the City of Charleston in over a decade, his constituents give him props for having a naughty bookstore zoned out of the area - not much else! Now his first big deal on the table is for a monument to the dead fetuses? You have got to be kidding me! I don't even think we have a monument to the fallen soldiers in Iraq yet. So, "private" donations are going to pay for it, but forever more, the taxpayers will have to sustain it. That's just a giant load of malarkey. With SO many more important issues affecting our people right now, there are so many other things tax dollars need to go to other than dead fetus statue maintenance fees. Only 349 of 5,353 reg. voters voted to fill Wendell's empty Dist.

Micheal Phelps was caught hitting the pot-pipe in South Carolina. At least it wasn't the crack-pipe! He says he's only 23 and acted in a "youthful way." Perhaps I'm a little cynical in my old age, but I am really sick of people making excuses for their bad behavior! Micheal Phelps is a hero for young kids ages 8 and above. Memberships to community pools and swim clubs have soared, filled with little tadpoles who see their future dreams through him. What a shame. What a shame. His mother NEEDS to be ashamed of him. Mind you, I am not condemning pot smokers of the world. My bad attitude and lack of sensitivity for Phelp's SC experiment with the Purple Sticky Punch comes from years of working with troubled youth who crave positive role models in this world...and can find so few that are worthy. When you enter arena of public scrutiny and are looked up to by the whole world...you should set a better example. Along with all the glory comes a certain measure of responsibi

POPSWhat is Aquaculture? Our oceans simply cannot yield sufficient quantities of fresh fish and seafood to produce enough viable protein for the Earth's population. That poses a dilemna for Fishermen, however, for a large majority of the world, without underwater agriculture, they would simply go hungry...or die.

POPSSouth Carolina Golf Courses Great For SC Tourism Economy I knew Golfing.SC was very popular because our World Class Golf Courses are coveted Nationwide, however, I had no idea the Golfing Industry had such an impact on the SC Tourism Economy. Just an interesting fact I wanted to Clip about where I live.
